Chapter Nine

Legend of the Infinite Empire, Chapter Nine
“To kill a Giant”

Wayoshi smiled, “Isyou you will head this mission, because I believe you are the right person for this job.”
Isyou smiled, “Thank You Sir”
Wayoshi and the Four Users preparing for the mission gathered in the mission briefing room. Xzelion strolled in, Wayoshi smiled, “now we will begin. According to our intelligence, The enemy has constructed the “Earthpound” a weapon of mass destruction. It is massive station in Teehee Valley. It will launch in seven hours into orbit above the planet. Then in Two hours after lift off in orbit, the Earthpound’s main weapon will fire. We do not know where…your mission to stop and dismantle the Earthpound before it unleashes its weapon upon us. Any questions?” Isyou stood to his feet, “What kind of resistance can we expect inside the Earthpound?”
Wayoshi frowned, “Thousands perhaps Seven Thousand.”
3d lifted his hand, “How are we getting in to this machine?”
This time Xzelion answered, “Under the cover of my Army, we launch an attack, from there you should be able to infiltrate the Earthbound. Only kill who you have to, other than that use the shadows. Avoid fighting.”
Max2 asked the next question, “What if we fail?”
Wayoshi shook his head, that’s the thing…you cannot fail otherwise thousands will be lost.”
Monty smiled, “Any more questions?”
No reply.
Wayoshi smiled, “You leave in one hour…”

“Two and no more”…the shadow person talked.
The other replied, ‘But master we will need more…”
The first shadow person lifted his arms, “No, two and no more…”
”Yes Milord” the second one replied.
The large being moved, “Launch in seven hours…”

Xzelion, Monty Mole, and Wayoshi gathered in room. Xzelion smiled, “My army here attacking from the west side, Monty’s shall attack from the east, and Wayoshi yours shall strike from the North. Under all of this cover fire our four move in must dismantle the Earthpound.”
Monty turned to Xzelion, “We must make this attack look real, make them think we’re trying to destroy it from the outside, when rally the inside is the weak spot.”
Wayoshi nodded, “We will make it look real…”

“This is pilot, Malupe, all fighters check in!” Malupe commanded.
The corresponding fighters shouted, “Scepter Two reporting”. Scepter Three reporting.” The fighters all reported in. “This is Malupe, all fighters arm your weapons, we’re moving in.”
The Earthpound launched its own fighters, round disk like objects flew head first into the action.

Xzelion’s ship landed as the troops ran out Xzelion led them. His battle rifle armed in one hand and his heavy blaster in the other. He turned to his men, most of the troops had no idea this was all a diversion. Xzelion hated lying to his men. Turned and opened fire. His battle rifle blasted. One enemy soldier fell and another. His troops were certainly making it look real. The firefight was progressing well. Xzelion troops were overpowering the enemies’ position.

Under the cover of Wayoshi’s heavy artillery, The “Diehard” a gunship moved in, low and beneath the artillery. Isyou watched, his heart pounding louder than ever. His palms sweaty, his forehead creased. Oh no he thought as the ship rocked. He then heard a thump and a loud explosion. The ship’s left wing was knocked off by something. The gunship hit the ground, its passengers sent flying. Isyou smashed into the ground, his body now aching. He got to his feet and saw twenty enemies surrounding him. He leaped in the air, two shots sizzled past the bandit. He landed on top on an enemy and swiped his pistol. He then shot that enemy. He turn his attention to another enemy he raised the blaster and shot the Shady Koopa in the leg. He spun around to see another blaster shot sizzle past him. He angled the blaster and opened fire. His left arm was grazed by a blaster shot. He snapped his attention and opened fire, that enemy too fell dead. And before Isyou noticed all twenty enemies laid on the floor. He smiled and deep beneath his mask he laughed. He turned and saw 3d and Max2 fighting…but where was Aipom? Isyou grabbed the pistol laying on the ground. He leaped in the air and landed, he shouted, “3d, Max2 wheres Aipom?”
The two friends shrugged. Isyou cursed beneath his mask and looked around. Aipom was bouncing around knocking over enemies. He smiled and laughed. He turned to 3d and Max2 “Hurry inside of the Earthpound quickly” commanded Isyou.
The foursome rushed toward the Earthpound, “Blast…” Isyou cursed, “Its an enemy heavy artillery Assault Machine, a HAAM for short” Isyou explained and smiled. He pulled out his comlink and shouted, “We got a HAAM over here, we need it taken out…”
A voice said back, “This Malupe moving in…”
Just then three fighters flew in, Malupe fired two missiles, one hitting the HAAM dead center, the other taking out its Artillery Rifle. The HAAM fell to the ground and exploded. Isyou shouted, “Everyone move in, repeat double time inside the Earthpound!” Isyou commanded, the foursome rushed in the Earthpounds outer room. Isyou was at the head of the four, he dropped his voice low and whispered, “Now the hard part…”

Wayoshi and Monty watched from afar, Confused walked in, “Sir we received word from Malupe that the team has reached the Earthpound.”
Monty nodded. “Good”
Wayoshi smiled, “we must continue this battle, for one hour…then we pull out.”
Monty nodded, “This looks real enough for the enemy.”

Valak watched his robes long enough to skim the ground as he moved; he approached the bridge of the Earthpound. He opened the door and walked, “Commander prepare the Earthpound for launch all systems are a go.” ordered Valak.
The engineer shouted, “All engines are a go!”
The weapon officers chimed in, “All weapons a go!”
Valak turned to the commander, “Prepare for lift off.”
The commander nodded his head and pressed buttons. His fingers dancing across the keyboard, then he flipped two switches and pressed a large red button. The large circular carrier lifted out of the crater and towards the sky. Valak smiled.

Wayoshi shook his head, “No they’re not suppose to launch yet… All fighters takeout the Earthpound!” Wayoshi ordered.
A steady voice replied, “This is Malupe, moving in.”
Wayoshi watched as an entire squadron of jets moved in to attack the Earthpound. Wayoshi frowned, “All teams pull out, the Earthpound is out of reach…”
All of jets fled from around the Earthpound…and returned to their docks.

Valak laughed, “Cowards! Run home with you tails between your legs!”
The commander smiled, “Sir…we have a successful launch.”
Valak nodded, “Good, make sure the cannon will be ready to fire within the next hour or two.”
The commander nodded.

Isyou and the crew moved quietly through the base, using the shadows as an advantage. Isyou managed to sneak behind an enemy, and he twisted its next. He smiled, turned and punched another enemy. He grabbed their rifles and slung the m behind his back. He turned and saw 3d and Max2 lagging behind, and Aipom right behind him. He leaped inside the air vents and pulled out a datapad. He looked at it and muttered, 3d didn’t here what he said, he whispered, “What?”
Isyou showed him the datapad, “We’re on floor 10, we’re suppose to be one floor 23.”
3d looked confused, “That’s bad because?”
Isyou shook his head, “We’re not gonna make it in time…”

Beanbean walked out of the base, here hair moving with the wind as she smiled; just then an explosion occurred knocking Beanbean off her feet. Revan appeared and kidnapped her.

Wayoshi watched as the fleet pulled away from the battlefield. His fleet looked battered and defeated, but in the end the mission was complete. Now all there was to do was wait and hope that Isyou and the team could pull it off. He turned and saw Xzelion come in, “There’s a problem sir.” Said Xzelion
”What?” asked Wayoshi.
Xzelion shook his head, “Isyou and his team are nearly 13 floor lower than expected…”
Monty frowned, “Will they make it in time?”
Xzelion shook his head, “no idea…”
Wayoshi turned to Xzelion “There is one-way…”
“…What?” asked Monty.
Wayoshi turned to Xzelion, “Xzelion, you and Omega Squad could try it…”
Xzelion shook his head, “Too risky, we could blow Isyou’s cover…”
Monty turned to Wayoshi, “Agreed”
Confused walked in, “Sir, we have a report from base…”
Wayoshi turned to confused, “What?”
Confused frowned, “Plumber’s sister, Beanbean has just been kidnapped…”

The Prince of Darkness watched from his balcony, Revan walked in, “Milord, he have her, the Sysop…”
The Prince of Darkness smiled, “Good take the sysop to the bay, she will be executed there.”

The Bacterion Empire’s fleet was ready, their fleet and fighters jumped into hyperspace, The Prince of Darkness was waiting for them…
