Paper Luigi: Pickle Star Dream and Mario & Luigi: Luigi & Mario are two comic series by Topmonhit and are the earliest comics he isn't completely and utterly embarrased by. Despite this, the two of them have absolutely no effect on anything, as the first was a dream and the second was erased from history by The Cloud. The two of them took place one right after another, so Topmonhit often pushes them together.

Story
Paper Luigi: Pickle Star Dream
Prologue: The Stars' Plea
The story began with Mario asleep and Luigi bored. After the title, Twink came in, exclaiming Star Haven was in trouble. Luigi wanted to help instead, so Twink finally gave in. It turned out Star Haven was destroyed, and to restore it, the seven Pickle Stars were needed. The map to them, however, had been missing for a long time. Luckily, as soon as they got to the Castle Square, Chibi showed up with the map! Luigi took it, saw the first star was at the Koopa Bros. Fortress, and Chibi joined for no reason. Twink then gave them a stupid tutorial.
Suddenly, Birdo appeared, demanding Luigi hand over the map. He refused, and he and Chibi defeated Birdo. Unfortunately, a massive group of Birdo appeared and took the map from them, after which a bunch of Toad appeared, yelling the princess had been kidnapped. Twink figured it was all connected, so he followed Birdo while Luigi and Chibi went to Koopa Bros. Fortress.
Chapter 1: Bombing Koopa Bros. Fortress
Once they got into the Koopa Bros. Fortress, they found Jet Kirby, then found Mouser, who they battled over the Crystal Star, eventually winning. Meanwhile, Twink followed Birdo to Wart's Castle, where he found Peach. The two of them spied on Wart and found the next star was at Teehee Valley; Twink then went to tell Luigi. Meanwhile, in Bowser's Castle, Kammy had some urgent news for Bowser, but as she was hit by an anvil, Lord Crump had to replace her. Kam--Lor--Kammy Crump told Bowser about Luigi, the Pickle Stars, and Peach being kidnapped. Thus, Bowser went to go find Peach.
Chapter 2: Race to the Pickle Star
When Luigi and his partners arrived in Teehee Valley, he was nearly overrun by a bunch of guest stars (Kirbymario, Sneezier, Linky, Dr. Pikachu, Paper, Purplelink), then Pyro tripped over Luigi. They all ran off, though. It turned out there was a race going on, and Luigi had to join Pyro in the race and Pyro joined Luigi on his adventure. And so they raced pointlessly. Then they went to Teehee Valley, fell in quicksand, and got underground. They found the Pickle Star and began to battle Tryclyde over it. In the end, Tryclyde was defeated, but his older brother, King Ghidorah, appeared. ...so Luigi ran. Meanwhile, Peach and Twink found out the next Pickle Star was at the Vim Factory, where Wart and Mouser had stored Robirdo. With Bowser, Bowser had found out on NSider that a Pickle Star was at the Koopa Bros. Fortress, but he somehow ended up on Eggman's ship which then crashed due to the added weight.
Chapter 3: Robot War!
Once Twink told Luigi where the next Pickle Star was, they made their way to Toadwood Forest. There, Bowser suddenly showed up and they battled! Luigi jumped on Bowser's brain and defeated him. Inside the factory, Koop appeared suddenly and joined them. They found the Pickle Star, but Robirdo showed up and battled them. In the end, Koop brought out the Goomba Army to dismantle it, and then they partied 'till they were purple. Or at least a nice shade of violet. Meanwhile, at Wart's Castle, Wart needed a way to get rid of Luigi... for good! Fryguy missed his cue, then Wart told him to go burn Toadwood Forest down. He then noted the next Pickle Star was at Rogueport. Meanwhile, Bowser got to Little Fungitown (somehow) and found the Nonappearing Guest Stars, who then changed their name to the Late Guest Stars. Then they blasted Bowser with fire.
Chapter 4: Only You Can prevent Forest Fires
Suddenly Luigi's team realized Toadwood Forest was burning down, so they began to run. They saw Fryguy, who was torching the forest, but a large branch that was on fire fell between them, allowing Fryguy to escape. Luigi brought Pyro out to get him to fly them away (although a Toad complained that Topmonhit and SZM were copying each other too much), so they flew away. They flew right out of the forest, getting to Flower Fields, and crashed into a tree. They then saw Petunia, who was surrounded by fire, and a random rainshower put it out. Danny then fell out of a cloud and joined them. They then went after Fryguy, who was trying to burn up Posie, when suddenly the Pickle Star fell out of Posie's tree! Fryguy was about to take it when Luigi showed up and they battled. Fryguy was defeated, as expected, and Luigi got the Pickle Star. At Wart's Castle, Wart was outraged at Fryguy's news that Luigi escaped, had another Pickle Star, and teamed up with an electric kitty. Just then, a Shy Guy entered, announcing General Guy had gotten Rogueport's Pickle Star, and told the Shy Guy to send a message to Clawgrip; the next Pickle Star was on Angry Island. Meanwhile, Bowser didn't do anything important.
Chapter 5: Attack of the Angry Seafood
Twink showed up again, revealing the next Pickel Star was at Angry Island, although Luigi had never heard of it, so they went to the docks for more information. Pinkeye the Boo Pirate Captain appeared, and gave them a lift (even though he never heard of Angry Island either). They somehow made it to the island, entered a warp pipe, and found themselves at a Mario Bros. level. A bunch of Angry Crabs began to appear and tried to attack them, but they ended up hitting a POW block and caused the panel to crash elsewhere, dropping them into a cave. They found BK, who then joined their party. They soon found the Pickle Star, but Clawgrip appeared to battle them, along with an Angry Crab Army. The team used a Cooking Beam to defeat the army, then Clawgrip tried to defeat them with Hyper Beam but Danny bounced his attack back and blew him up.
While returning to Toad Town, General Guy's ship appeared and sank Pinkeye's ship; Luigi's team got off it and onto General Guy's ship, and defeated him, getting his crystal star too, leaving only one more. Meanwhile, with Luigi having gotten all but one Pickle Star, Wart decided to take drastic action and make his way to Star Haven, revealing his castle was up in space. He then tied Peach up, saw Twink, and knocked him out of the castle. Meanwhile, Bowser was at Flower Fields, STILL trying to get a Pickle Star. He got to Posie, and learned Luigi had gotten it. He was enraged, but then saw a nearby Crystal Berry and tried to eat it, breaking his teeth.
Chapter 6: The Pickle Star
Luigi and his group are hanging out in Toad Town, waiting to find the location of the next Pickle Star, when the stars Luigi already have suddenly fly up and send them to the Pickle Cave where they met the Mega Pickle and did a battle against it. In the end, Pyro ate it. Meanwhile, Bowser had just got out of the dentist when a Lakitu told him Wart's Castle was in the sky. Bowser yelled that Wart owed him money, so he went after Wart.
Chapter 7: The Incredible Showdown
With the 7 Pickle Stars, Luigi restored Star Haven. Wart then began trying to destroy it again, so Luigi flew to his castle on the Star Cruiser. There, Mouser tried to defeat Luigi with the new and improved Robirdo, but Bowser fell from above and crushed it. A battle began, but Robirdo exploded and defeated him. They then began the final battle with Wart, in which all of Luigi's partners were defeated. Luigi, however, became the Incredible Luigilk and defeated Wart handily. Peach then appeared, saying she was going to dump Mario for Luigi, and some Toads came out of nowhere and exclaimed he was the new king of The Mushroom Kingdom. Luigi then woke up and realized it was all a dream.
Mario & Luigi: Luigi & Mario
Right after Luigi woke up, Mario jumped down to him, scaring him. Mario explained that Little Fungitown was in trouble, and needed his help, so he went off on another adventure. While Luigi sulked, Top admitted he had nothing else planned for the series. However, Oshy then dropped a book on Luigi accidently, which opened to a page about the "Life Switcher Machine". Luigi saw it, and realized with this he could finally become the star. And so, he set out to find the Life Switcher Machine; along the way, Chibi and Super joined him for no reason. However, Kirbymario and Wiibo overheard Luigi, and went to try and stop him. Bloo also overheard them all, and decided to try and get there himself. Luigi battled Tolstar (Mack shows up for some reason), then the guest stars on Mario's side (Kirbymario and Wiibo) tried to stop them. Luigi went on a different path while the guest stars fought, but then the villains, Bloo, Sub (for some reason that no one understands) and some red WW Link appeared to battle the other guest stars. Eventually, they were all defeated.
Meanwhile, Luigi made it to the Life Switcher Machine, and was able to switch lives with Mario, who was just about to be defeated by Popple and Big Bully, meaning Luigi actually saved Mario! When Luigi awoke, he found he was wearing red and now he was the star! Luigi realized, however, that although he was now the star, Mario was more popular, which was just like how things were before; Luigi was more popular despite not being the star. Just then, some Toads ran in, yelling the castle was under attack! Meanwhile, a book fell on Bowser. ...anyway, the castle was being attacked by Tatanga. When Mario and Luigi got there, Tatanga used fright tactics, and because Luigi was still himself and now Mario was like Luigi, they were both scared. They nervously went after him, however. Tatanga shot them out of his ship, and they crashed at the Life Switcher Machine. Mario then realized from subtle hints that Luigi had used that to switch the two of them, and that Mario was supposed to be the star. Mario chased Luigi right off the platform into an abyss.
Just then, Bowser and Kammy Koopa showed up. Bowser revealed he knew what the Life Switcher Machine was, as a book about it fell on him. He then took an hour to figure out how to work it, and then switched lives with Luigi! ...except he accidently pressed Mario! ...because due to a plot twist, the Life Switcher Machine cancels out any that were already in effect, causing Bowser to become like the normal Mario! However, for some reason, Luigi was the only one who remembered (as well as Bowser), which was because he had already used the Life Switcher Machine once. As soon as Luigi realized Bowser was now Mario, he went into shock. Meanwhile, Bowser went into town and found out from Toadsworth Princess Peach was kidnapped, so he went off to "rescue" her... from Mario! However, he had another plan--to join Mario! He explained to Mario what he had done, and so the two of them joined forces and demanded The Mushroom Kingdom surrender!
The main guest stars went to Luigi for help, who was still in shocked. They yelled at him, and he finally fainted. When he woke back up, they told him Bowser and Mario joined forces, and Luigi realized what Bowser did. And so, they all hurried off to Bows--er, Mario's castle. Unfortunately, they got lost. Suddenly they were attacked by Kammy Koopa and... Mario Jr.!? They were defeated, though, and Luigi and his group continued. ...to get more lost. They were randomly attacked by Petey Piranha and Goomboss, then finally began to figure out where they were. They got outside Mario's Castle, but The Cloud stopped them with an invisible wall, not letting them through. A pointless battle occured where The Cloud beat up Luigi and his partners, then ended the battle and explained they had to go to the Life Switcher Machine. Two massive comics went through the final battle against Luigi and the good guest stars and Mario, Bowser and the bad guest stars. At the same time, the guest stars in the Guest Star Center began to battle. In the end, everyone but Luigi was defeated, and Luigi used the Life Switcher Machine to fix everything. The Cloud ended up destroying it, though, which REALLY fixed everything. Luigi explained to Mario what he had done, and Mario agreed to take Luigi on more adventures. ...he didn't, though.
Trivia
- In Paper Luigi, every comic's banner had a different sprite of Luigi, almost always being a sprite that appeared in that comic. The exception was Peach/Bowser comics, which always had Peach and Bowser with it.
- King Ghidorah would later actually be fought by The Yoshi Bodyguards in Icy Heart of Darkness! The Final Story of Sneen!
- The original plot for M&L: L&M did not have Bowser in it at all; instead, someone else (possibly the winner of a contest) was to submit a villain that would have done what Bowser did, except with a different character. Once Topmonhit got the idea for Bowser, though, it was all him.
Connections to Other Stories
- Wart's Plan is very similar to something he did in The Adventure of Wishes; this may be accountable by the fact that Luigi was in that story, and thus it affected his dream.
