The Mario Troopers and the Luigi Troopers (AKA Italian Astartes) are clone troopers created for The Yoshi Bodyguards' Clone Army, and the Cyber Bell Vanguard. Unlike the Yoshis troopers, they are more versatile due to their human body shape. Combined with intense training and superior technology, they are a force to be reckoned with just like their Yoshi Clone Comrades.

Biology and Appearance

They are similar to their Yoshi counterparts but due their human genes, they are easier to manipulate in bio-engineering. To make them more super human, special DNA strands are integrated into the DNA without tampering the genetic code much like the Yoshis via "11 organs serum" that allows the clone to grow special organs without surgery. They can still do superhuman abilities such as the super jumps.

  • Secondary Heart - The Secondary Heart increases blood supply and pumping capacity and is capable of taking over entirely should the primary heart fail.
  • Ossmudula - This part of the serum strengthens the skeleton of a Trooper by inducing the bones to absorb a ceramic-based substance administered in a Trooper's diet. Within two years after birth, the Trooper's skeleton will be exponentially stronger; and the rib cage will be fused into a solid bone plate so the it won't virtually be fractured.
  • Biscopea - It massively bolsters muscle development and density throughout the Trooper's body. This is commonly implanted at the same time as the Ossmodula. It allows the Trooper use enhanced strength
  • Haemastamen - The Haemastamen alters the Trooper's blood composition to carry oxygen and nutrients more efficiently.
  • Nanomed Organ - This organ manufactures Nanomed Cells which acts as part of the blood. When a Trooper is wounded, the cells are released, attached to leukocytes. At the site of the injury, they form scar tissue in a matter of seconds, effectively preventing massive blood loss and infection.
  • Catalepsean Node - Grown into the back of the brain, this organ allows a Trooper to not sleep, instead entering a four-hour, almost nap-like trance where they "recharge". Sleep spells and items won't work very on the trooper.
  • Preomnor - The Preomnor is a decontamination chamber inside the chest cavity. It chemically analyzes ingested materials and neutralizes toxins. The Preomnor enables the Trooper to eat normally inedible substances and resist poisons but Metal Army chemicals can still poison them.
  • Multi-lung - The multi-lung is a third lung, able to absorb oxygen from environments poor in oxygen. Breathing is accomplished through a sphincter in the trachea, allowing all three lungs to be used at full capacity. In toxic environments, a similar muscle closes off the normal lungs, thus oxygen is absorbed exclusively by the multi-lung which filters out poisonous elements but it's not immune to G6 Gases and the shinigami virus.
  • Occulobe - Essentially, this organ enhances a Trooper's eyesight, granting him exceptional vision. Very vital for snipers.
  • Progenoid Glands - Grown into both the neck and chest cavity, these serve to collect and cultivate the gene-seed from a Trooper's body, and to safeguard it for the continuity of the army. The neck gland is removed upon 7 months, and the chest gland upon 9 months; both are then used to create new Clone Troopers.
  • The Black Carapace - The last and possibly most important of all organs, this neuro-reactive material is implanted directly under the skin in the chest area. Invasive fiber bundles then grow inward and interlink with the Marine's own nervous system. Points pre-cut into the Carapace are effectively connection points, allowing a Trooper to directly interface with his Armor.

Aside from these organs, most retain their Italian accents but have different tones, pitch, voice, and the weight of the accent.

Weapons and Items

STAR-130 Arm Blaster

The modern standard weapon of the SWDF, the YB, and the CBV. This version is the MLG-128R Model which uses Plasma Beam as ammo. Unlike Sneezier's personal version, it's clip fed and each holds 50 shots. It can interact with the visor, much like the HUD Scan Visor uplinked into Galactic Federation bounty hunters.. It also has secondary function, a wielding laser that doesn't need the ammo clips. This also can Pierce through Denzium Alloy. The MLG-129FF variant is a unlimited ammo weapon that fires fireballs that can bounce on the ground, walls, and even the ceiling.

Assault cannons

Assault cannons are multiple-barreled, gattling-type heavy weapons. Due to their weight and massive recoil, they are commonly mounted on vehicles, meches, or carried by Weapons Specialist-troopers. The assault cannon utilities high-velocity beams relying on penetrative kinetic impact, to reduce ammunition weight and increase ammunition capacity. A short to medium range weapon, what it lacks in range it more than makes up for in sheer destructive capacity. Its tremendous rate of fire projects a blizzard of lasers capable of shredding squads of infantry and light vehicles in seconds, and the sheer volume of fire striking the target allows it to rend armour that the individual shots would not normally be able to penetrate.

Star Beam Sword

The standard beam weapons created for close quarters combat. The blade is unique due to the shape and it is capable of cutting through blast doors and Necron Metal. The weapon is designed to quickly slice through an opponent. These swords are very crucial in combat allowing easy swipes to behead or rip an enemy in two.

Fire Flower Gloves

Special Gloves created for certain trooper variants who don't have Star Beam Swords. When ignited, they glow orange and they burn anything without getting hurt by their own weapon. It also took the role as a backup firearm since it can launch bouncing fireballs.

Rail Bazooka

The Rail Bazooka is a special weapon that fire Bomshell Bills at high velocity. It an infantry sized Railgun in a shape of Bazooka. The bazooka allows the user to combat most vehicles.

Grapple Shield

Originally created as riot gear, it can be also used to block attacks. It can be used to stun foes or used the grapple claw to swing over large gaps. It can also be used to lasso away the enemy's handheld equipment.

Ultra Boots

The Ultra Boots are the main footwear of the Clone Troopers. The stomp, kick, and jump attacks delivers three times damage per attack to an enemy while normal foot attacks only deals regular damage. They also enable the wearer to perform a Tornado Jump and Spring Jump. The Spring Jump allows the trooper to jump higher while the tornado jump is for offensive attacks and to break solid metal and solid ice.

Rocket Hammer

The Rocket Hammer is special weapon ultilized by certain trooper variants and commanders. Based of from King Dedede's jet hammer, these weapons are capable of sending anything flying if swung like a golf club or causing small craters if swung with an overhead swing. To use their full potential, the built-in rocket must charge up to full power then swing but if overloaded, the explodes, harming the user. Charging it up takes a few seconds but leaves the user vulnerable to attacks unless the hammer is used for regular swings.

MRE Rations

Food stored in packets for the troopers to eat during non-combat situations. Depending on trooper's stats, some ration varies. Mario and Luigi Trooper usually have sliced mushrooms but some can have pasta-based recipies which were their favorites due to their host's Italian heritage. Aside from that, they drink standard tasty tonics which acts as a cure for poison.

Phase III Helmet

The current helmet model utilizes a beak shaped mouthplate mainly for coolness and to deal with the nose problem.It still retains most of the previous designs and visors. The beak mouthplate also serves as a improvised weapon for headbutting or "Italian Pecking". Alot varied from design for variants, better hud, increased zoom-in, or better protection. Commanders and commandos loved to customize their armor.

Phase III Combat Battle Armor

The current armor all clones wore. The Mario and Luigi Troopers have their armor's color pattern reflect their host's clothing, thus resembing shirt and overalls of plumbers. Based off from many prototype armor systems such as the S7786 Zeus Class Combat Battle Armor and the Phase II ARC Battle Armor. These armor systems enabled them to uplink with PS systems, lock onto targets via HUD, survey squad member status, and scan targets for upload into the PS database. It's main feature is a personal energy sheild that allows the trooper to withstand attacks from multiple directions but can be overwhelmed by powerful attack or energy draining moves. It has tolerance, but does not make the wearer immune to radiation (except ZONE Troopers), and contains small oxygen tanks for underwater and space missions unless some variants increase durtation of certain terrian. It varied alot in design and some have advantage over others thanks to permutations. Some users customized them in appearance to be distinctive from other clones.

History

Idea and Creation

When the Yoshi Clone Army is just a concept idea, Sneezier wanted to clone Mario and Luigi to make the army more versatile. It won't come to fruition until 2006 when he donated some of his blood at a blood bank and brought Mario's and Luigi's blood samples. They receive the same training, treatment, and equipment as the Yoshi Clones although the armor is different.

Sneezier based the concept on the Mario and Luigi of his own timeline, which were regarded as, by far, the most decorated heroes of Star World. While still notable in our timeline, Sneezier still remembers the legends behind them in his timeline, and modeled the Mario and Luigi Clones in order to reflect the greatness he once knew.

Battle of Fichina

In the The Wrath of the Titan, they appear to assist the Yoshi Bodyguard 483rd Clone Army Division. Under the command of Sneezier, they assist the core YB group and prevent any foe from getting near the Titan. When the Necron appeared, they had managed slowed them down but some of them are killed by the Nightbringer. After the battle, half of the Mario and Luigi troops are transferred to the 483rd Clone Army Division to stay behind and guard the titan.

Metal Wars

In the Metal Wars, they are the key players in many battlefronts. In the Liberation of Melias II. They helped the native species, the Melians to free their world via guerrilla tactics to pick off the Gold Legion's Armor Divisions.

Trivia

  • The helmet design based from the space marine's "beakie" helmet mainly for the coolness and practical purposes. Sneezier later expanded the helmet designs.
  • The 11 organs serum is similar to the space marine organ implants, the difference is that the Troopers organs are grown during body growth.
