"SUPER PIE, AWAY! *throws a pie at Gooptail, which doesn’t do much except make the pie goopy* Ew… why’d I do that?"

-Pyro, X-Chaos

Gooptail is a dragon completely covered in goop, a toxic mud-like substance that feels a little like being covered in ice cream. Gooptail is held together by a collection of bones inside the goop, and seems to be able to create more goop at will from inside itself.

History

Gooptail first appeared in the very early Yoshi Bodyguards, attacking the HQ with the Y-Nauts. After being destroyed, it reappeared a year later inside the Shadow Dimension, lying in wait for the YB as they tried to create seven new Crystal Stars, which had been destroyed earlier. It obstructed them on the path inside a huge cave, and was defeated by washing the goop off. Two and a half years later it was reformed in the Pit of 100 Trials when the YB were searching for a Chaos Emerald. Once more it was defeated by washing away its goop from within.

Personal Information

Personality

Gooptail doesn't have much of a personality, as it simply makes goopy roars and tries to eat people.

Appearance

Gooptail appears as a very large four-legged dragon with a large head, long neck, large body and three thin tails. Every part of it is completely covered in dripping, wet goop of a dark brown color. Even its insides seem to be covered in goop. There are two sockets where eyes would be, but the insides of the sockets are also covered in goop. When the goop is washed away, all that remains are inanimate, dirty dragon bones.

Abilities

Gooptail can spew goop, as well as simply shake goop off its body at people. It can spread goop out and fill a room with it, and create an endless supply of goop. It can also absorb people who touch it into its body. It also has been known to breathe toxic fumes from its mouth.

Trivia

  • Gooptail is based on Hooktail, Gloomtail and Bonetail, even intentionally being in the same shape as them. It is possible Gooptail is actually Bonetail, as when the goop is washed away its insides are revealed to be bones like Bonetail. Further suggesting this is its location at the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials, though it also appeared in a castle reminiscent of Palace of Shadows (like Gloomtail.)
  • Gooptail was planned to have a possible appearance in Prisoners of Faction Fighting, locked within a high-security cell on a lowest level, but was never encountered by any faction.
