The United States presidential election of 2020 will be held on November 8, 2020 and is the 58th consecutive quadrennial election for President and Vice President of the United States. The election will coincide with the 2020 Senate elections, House of Representatives elections, and gubernatorial elections, as well as many regional and local elections.

Background
President Whitney Mason is widely expected to be the Democratic nominee, making this the first time a Democratic incumbent President has faced a Republican challenger since Bob Dole challenged Bill Clinton for the White House in 1996.

Democratic nomination

Incumbent President Whitney Mason has announced his intention to seek a second term and is widely expected to face little or no serious challenge from within the Democratic Party. Former WSC Governor David Cromartie announced his intention to primary by filing with the FEC, however he withdrew and endorsed sitting President Mason at the very early stages of the primaries.
