Reagan N. Wolf, better known by his pen name Nanaki (born January 21, 1991), is an member of Sodor Island Forums, being one of the last members to join the original forum before it was wiped.

Works

Nanaki is known to want to write his own novels in his adult life; however, he has written many works as it is.

Early Works

The first of Nanaki's work appeared on his DeviantART page. His first submission was known as Railroad Relationships, a story mainly focusing on Harvey the Crane Engine escaping scrap and falling in love with Emily. However, Nanaki never completed the story, stopping after Chapter 3.

Nanaki also wrote the winning Essay entry for the SiF/RLT Competiton. The essay, What Does Thomas Mean to You?, is a personal essay focused on Nanaki's personal life and his feelings for the then current status of the television series.

Whatever Happened to Smudger?

Nanaki's most influential fanfiction was first written in 2005, where he came up with the idea that Smudger, a character appearing briefly in Season 4 of Thomas and Friends, might not have simply been broken up after becoming a generator. The story of Whatever Happened to Smudger? (or WHTS for short) focuses on Smudger's life after leaving the Island of Sodor and beginning his new life on the Hasegawa Valley Railway.

This was Nanaki's first really successful story, spanning 12 chapters and starting a spinoff series called Tales from Hasegawa Valley (or TfHV). An Audio Production was also planned with Assassin playing the lead role of Smudger; however Nanaki's father wiped the hard drive and all of the Audio data was lost.

Current Works

Nanaki plans on continuing TfHV, but first wants to get his other ideas out into the open. Recently, he submitted a new fanfiction to SiF known as Jack and the Pack: Code Blue, focusing on the Pack characters facing off against a rival construction company known as Code Blue Construction Co. Nanaki will not release Code Blue outside SiF until it is complete, making Code Blue an SiF Exclusive.

Nanaki in SiFiction

Nanaki first appeared in SiFiction in Alaric's Rogue, being one of the members Alaric threatened to join him in his attack on the SiF Tower. Nanaki, as well as the rest of the members Alaric forced to join him (not including Elizabeth) attacked Alaric from behind to get a detonator from his hand. In the whole SiFiction, Nanaki has only one line: "Knock it from his hand!"

Nanaki afterwards made an appearence in The Salmon Adventure as a member of Group Unheard-of, along with LegoGuy, Inuprincess, and Philthevaliant. The four held a contest for a "Hear of Unheard-of" to join their group, only to become less popular, then a quote from Nanaki making them instantly win a motorboat. (It should be noted that Nanaki does NOT use the silly phrases used in The Salmon Adventure).

Nanaki also appeared in Philthevaliant's The SiF-gic Roundabout, however was mistaken to be a girl in the first chapter.

Trivia

• Nanaki's pen name comes from a character in the Final Fantasy VII game with the same name.
• Nanaki is Jewish as well as American. He was adopted at birth.
• On Tamagotchi-related forums, Nanaki goes by OsuMesu21, signifying his birth date and his first types of Tamagotchi he bought on eBay.
• Nanaki's favorite Thomas characters are Smudger and Harvey.
• Nanaki also likes watching Scrubs, South Park, and Digimon. On Digimon forums, he goes by Dvdp21 (Digivice, Digimon Pendulum 21)
• In real life, Nanaki has one older brother and two younger brothers. He claims to have a second older brother that uses the same name, but they are not related.
  • His unrelated brother claims that the name Nanaki used in writing and Thomas-related work is Reagan. Any other Nanaki001 on other forums is not.
• Nanaki has Asperger Syndrome.
• On TV.com, Nanaki participated in the Thomas and Friends Bloopers thread, originating the quote overly used by Thomas, "Oh snap." For other running gags, Nanaki made the director mindlessly beat people with a rolled-up newspaper when things went horribly wrong, made Henry act like a gangster, made Edward speak German when the camera stopped rolling, and Gordon occasionaly slipped out perverted comments.
• Nanaki also likes to cyber with underaged girls, and is always buzzing around the female forumers
