No Escape will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on AEW's television programs. Wrestlers portray heels or faces as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
The first three match were announced to all be Elimination Chamber matches, the main event elimination chamber match is a Six-Man Tag Team Elimination Chamber match with The Resistance (Taz, Bray Wyatt, and Cactus Jack) facing of against Team wMe (Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and Tyler Reks). Bray Wyatt returned to AEW last month at The Last Stand pay-per-view to put a warning to Paul Heyamn and the rest of the wMe superstars.
