[edit] Background
On the July 25, 2018 episode of Wednesday Night Rage, Glennda McAlmond announced that for the first time, WIW would hold an all-women's pay-per-view called Ladies Night, it was later also called Glamorous Revolution. Various women WIW Hall of Famers, including former Women's Champions, Brenda Bourque and Camile were advertised as taking part in the event. It was also announced that all four of WIW's women's championships would be defended and that the event would host the finals of the 2018 Marjorie Martin Classic.
[edit] Storylines
The card will comprise matches resulting from scripted storylines, with results predetermined by WIW on the Rage, ShowDown, NGW and NGW MD brands. Storylines are produced on WIW's weekly television shows, Wednesday Night Rage, Thursday Night ShowDown, NGW and NGW MD.
On August 18, a match between Brenda Bourque and Brenah McAlmond-Quinn was scheduled for Ladies Night (later renamed Glamorous Revolution). Then, on September 5, a match between Camile and Britney McAlmond-Kelly was scheduled for the event. On the October 10 episode of Rage, a confrontation between the four women occurred. It was then revealed that instead of the two singles matches, The McAlmond Cousins would face Bourque and Camile in a tag team match at Glamorous Revolution. However after Victoria Lehr, Tessa Smith, Brook Slevin and Brittany Hiatt attacked Boruque, McAlmond-Quinn, Camile and McAlmond-Kelly on October 24 episode of Rage. On October 26 via WIW's website, the match was then changed to an Eight women-tag team match with Bourque and Camile teaming with McAlmond-Quinn and McAlmond-Kely to face Lehr, Smith, Slevin and Hiatt.
At NGW TakeOver: SuperBrawl, Michelle Skuletich defeated Anna Crawford and Faith Cronin to win the NGW Women's Championship. On the September 29 episode of NGW, Skuletich defeated Crawford in a rematch for the title. After the match, Meghan Mahoney confronted Skuletich wanting a match for the title, but was attacked by Crawford and injured. The following week, a match between all three was scheduled for Glamorous Revolution.
At SummerBash, Sis Bates defeated Brenah McAlmond-Quinn to win the WIW World Women's Championship. Following her win, The Hendricks Twins (Samantha and Kristy) celebrated with the new champion. At Super Showdown Supercard, it was announced that a title defense for Bates was scheduled for Glamorous Revolution. At that same event, Bates teamed with The Hendricks Twins teamed up to defeat The Hope Squad (Courtney Hope, Dianna Agron and Rachele Brooke Smith). On the following episode of Rage, Bates and the Hendricks Twins would again defeat The Hope Squad. Following the match, however, The Hendricks Twins attacked Bates, turning heel A title match between Bates and Samantha was then scheduled for Glamorous Revolution.
At SummerBash, Kaila Matteson defeated Ali Richards, Jade Zimmer and former champion Kadee Jones in a Fatal four way match to win the WIW Heavyweight Women's Championship by pinning Richards. Following the match, Richards attacked Matteson turning heel. Richards then defeated Matteson and Zimmer in a triple threat match to win the championship at Hellbound. Following the match, Zimmer attacked both Richards and Matteson. A rematch occurred against the three at Super Showdown Supercard, where Richards retained the championship after using the championship belt on Zimmer after Matteson had Zimmer locked in a submission. The three had a rematch on the following episode of ShowDown, but it ended in a no contest, resulting in Richards again retaining. Women's ShowDown General Manager Stephanie Thennis then announced that the three would have another rematch for the Heavyweight Women's Championship at Glamorous Revolution, but as a first-ever Last Woman Standing Triple threat elimination match, where the winner would have to incompacitate both opponents for the count of 10, to make sure one winner would come out as champion.
