Current revision as of 03:26, 13 February 2015

Feast or Fired is a professional wrestling match concept created by, and featured in Attitude Era Wrestling (TNA).

In this match, all four ring posts have poles attached, with a numbered briefcase (1-4) hanging from each pole. The object of the match to climb the turnbuckles and grab the cases. Each case contains a different item - three having various championship matches, while the other contains a "pink slip" signifying immediate termination from TNA.

In the four Feast or Fired matches to have taken place, the number of participants in each match has varied from 12-14. Grabbing the case and leaving the ring with both feet touching the floor determines the four winners. A wrestler can only take one case.

Inside the cases for 2014 are:

Before any of the cases are opened all four winners are given the chance to forfeit their case and avoid being fired but also possibly sacrificing a title shot.

After the 2007 Feast or Fired match, a follow-up "Feast, Fired or Fifty Grand" match took place, where the four briefcase winners (who had yet to find out what was inside their cases) competed in a four-way match in which the winning wrestler had the option to exchange their case for a $50,000 prize, or another winner's case. This was the only year this type of match took place.

Once a wrestler wins a Feast or Fired briefcase, it may be (and has been) defended in matches similar to the way championships are.

The allocated time period during which a wrestler must invoke their title opportunity has not been explicitly stated, all that has been said is that the title opportunity can be invoked "Anywhere, Anytime".
