In 2013 Championship Wrestling opened up, Jay Briscoe and his brother was one of the first few to join the promotion. Jay Briscoe soon thereafter gained immediate stardom as he qualified for the Best of Both Worlds match at the first CW pay-per-view ever. On June 9 at the Unstoppable pay-per-view, Briscoe competed in the Best of Both Worlds match along with John Cena, Alex Shelley, Christian, Kane and Curtis Axel the match was later won by John Cena, who later went on to be defeated by ring #2s Best of Both Worlds winner, Bray Wyatt to crown the first CW World Champion. On the June 14 episode of Shock, Jay defeated Randy Orton and was later on in the night drafted to Carnage. In June 2013 a tournament to crown a CW Iron Man Championship was announced, Jay was entered into the tournament. On the June 24 episode of Carnage Jay defeated Cody Rhodes in the first round of the tournament. On the July 1 episode of Carnage Jay defeated both Jimmy Jacobs and Tyson Kidd in the second round to advance to the final round, later on in the night Jon Moxley defeated Kane to advance to the final round. On the July 8 episode of Carnage, Jay competed in a tag team match teaming with Mr. Anderson but were defeated by Jon Moxley and Kane. On the July 15 episode of Carnage both Briscoe and Moxley picked each others opponents for the night in the Pick Your Poison match, Briscoe would choose Edge to face Moxley and Moxley choose Austin Aries face Briscoe, in the night during Moxley's match with Edge, Briscoe interfered allowing Moxley to win the match by disqualification, later that night Briscoe defeated Aries in his Pick Your Poison match. On July 21 at Ascension, Moxley defeated Briscoe in the final round of the tournament to win the CW Iron Man Championship. On the August 5 episode of Carnage Briscoe would defeated Austin Aries again to qualify for the first Heir to the Throne match. On the August 19 episode of Carnage Briscoe fought Brian Kendrick to a draw when Jon Moxley interfered and attacked both Kendrick and Briscoe. On August 25 at Revolt, Briscoe competed in the first-ever Elimination Hell in a Cell Heir to the Throne match along with Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Brian Kendrick, Chris Jericho and then-Iron Man Champion Jon Moxley, the match was won by Daniel Bryan. September 13 on the Shock: Night 1, Briscoe was defeated by Seth Rollins in a match for a shot at Moxley's CW Iron Man Championship at a later date. November 14 on Shock: Night 1, Briscoe was defeated by Dolph Ziggler. December 5 on the Shock: Night 1. Jay Briscoe defeated Ethan Carter III. November 12 on Shock: Night 1, Briscoe was entered into a CW World Championship tournament, but was defeated by Sterling James Keenan it would later be a "Best Match of 2013" category for CW. January 9 on Shock: Night 1, Jay Briscoe defeated Samoa Joe. On another episode of Shock, Jay Briscoe would be announced as one of the participates that would compete in the second Heir to the Throne match, this would be his second Heir to the Throne match. February 14 on Shock: Night 2, Briscoe defeated Sin Cara. After February 23 No Chance in Hell pay-per-view where Team McMahon defeated Team Heyman, there was a Brand split with Champions and Divas being on both shows, Jay Briscoe was drafted to Shock. On the March 6 episode of Shock, Briscoe defeated Ethan Carter III to qualify for the Take Your Pick ladder match at Ring of Champions, Jay would win one of the five briefcases in the Take Your Pick ladder match for a future title shot, his briefcase contact the contract for a CW Universal Championship shot. It would later be announced that on June 1, 2014 Jay Briscoe would compete in the Shock ring of the Best of Both Worlds match for a World Championship shot on the line, he would however loss in the first ring. On July 6, 2014 at the Scars and Stripes pay-per-view, Jay Briscoe faced off against Sterling James Keenan in a rematch from their championship tournament match back in December of 2013, however this time both men were counted out. The next night on July 10, 2014 episode of Shock it was announced that Jay Briscoe would recieve a CW World Heavyweight Championship shot along with the world champion, Christopher Daniels, Sterling James Keenan and Roman Reigns in a Fatal four way match at Ascension. On the July 25, 2014 episode of Shock Roman Reigns was defeated by the CW Iron Man Champion Magnus to lose his spot in the fatal four way now making it a Triple threat match, later that night Briscoe teamed with Sterling James Keenan to defeated John Cena and CM Punk in the main event. In 2014, Championship Wrestling would close down due to personal reasons.

In 2015, The Briscoe Brothers would begin pursuing some singles competition, Jay Briscoe began pursuing the AEW World Heavyweight Championship at AEW 2, Jay was defeated by Brock Lesnar in a No Disqualification match. At The Last Stand, Jay would defeated Rhino in a Last Man Standing match. In June 2015, Jay Briscoe took part in the Road to Superclash tournament, but was defeated by Damien Sandow. At Superclash, The Briscoes competed in a Tag Team gauntlet match for the AEW Tag Team Championships, but failed to regain the titles. At the 4th Year Anniversary, the Briscoes Brothers competed in a Fatal four way match for a shot at the AEW Tag Team Championship at Devil's Night: Concussion, the match was won by The Vaudevillains. On the January 11 Concussion, the Briscoe Brothers defeated The New Day for a Tag Team Championship match, after the match they defeated The Wolves to win the AEW Tag Team Championship, this would began what the Briscoes call the "Briscoe TakeOver", both men would pursue the singles championships as well as the Tag Team Championship.
