Students

The Golden Child

This student seems to be a potions prodigy. This kid is flying past his classmates, easily making potions beyond the skill level of other kids his or her age. Beckett sees a bit of himself in this child and will dedicate himself to his or her fine tuning.

  • Amaryllis Noircroix [What can I say? She's brilliant! A perect mind for potions- fabulous memory and very analytical. Even if she does have strange tendencies....]

Favorites

These are the students who are on the professor’s good side, the students that he’d say hello to in the corridors or chat with during class. They rarely act out, and always finish their work promptly and with their best effort.

  • Freja Verillion (now Freja Mithra) [A behaved and intelligent student]
  • Rose Tippet [Rose is a good student, and Rhys does his best to make sure she realizes her potential]
  • Cillian Rodrigo [A smart young man, very polite. It seems the he and Rhys share a pureblood ancestry]
  • Tilden Channing [Rhys is trying to get the boy to pursue potions, but Tilden's on the fence.]
  • Alia Jones [An incredibly helpful student. One might wonder why she always wants to stay after class...]
  • Deirdre Avalon [A very bright student. Rhys also happens to be one of her favorite professors]
  • Theo Jones [He may not be the greatest at potions, but at least he's well behaved]
  • Emma Silvers [Bright, but should be careful with her exprimenting]
  • Trayton Clyde [A brilliant member of Rhys's house, seems to share Rhys's more scientific view of potions]
  • Carson Greer [She really understands that potions is a science and not an art- no creative license. Plus, a fellow Scot]
  • Julian Tippet [Quick learners do well in potions because it's usually a one shot deal]

Trouble Makers

Professor Rhys is not the kind of person to allow his students to act out during class, and these students know this. Or, perhaps they don’t, and that’s why they are constantly interrupting class by talking or blowing up their cauldrons.

  • Vincent LeBlanc [There REALLY IS such a thing as a dumb question. Now stop!]

Remedial Potions

The good professor understands that potions doesn’t come easy for everyone. In fact, it’s one of the most complicated and dangerous areas of magic. That’s exactly why he offers to teach remedial potions to the children who are falling behind.

  • Ichabod Snow [A very bright young man, but he can't seem to grasp potions]
  • Adrian Kinlan [Sure, the kids doesn't quite get it, but Rhys is lucky he doesn't blow things up intentionally]
  • Liam MacGowan [Never before has someone so ethusiastic about potions been such a danger]

T for Troll

These students are no longer in Rhys's class (either because they dropped out or failed their OWLs), but when they were, they were quite a handful.

  • Corbi Abbott [Rhys would rather have taught this one theoretical potions, then let her actually touch a cauldron ever again]
  • Aerys Sangranis [She's a very good student, but needs a little extra help which Rhys is happy to give]

Adults

Friends

A category for colleagues of Beck’s that he likes. Although Beck isn’t much of a social person, he calls these people friends because they chat over coffee in the teacher’s lounge or sit together at meals in the great hall. Or they just don't bother him at all.

  • Logan Oemul [They exchange ingredients for potions, it's mutually beneficial relationship. Besides, of course, when Rhys is destroying Omemul's lessons (but that's onlt happened once...so far...)]
  • Una MacNamara [Another mutually benficial relationship, although Rhys is more of the dependant]
  • Sebastian Glass [Sure, the man is bothersome, but Glass just like to tease Rhys and make him uncomfortable. It's harmless, and Rhys has strangely grown fond of the man over the years. Rhys provides him with potions at the drop of a hat, because he's a push-over]
  • Nathaniel Jerico [What an intriguing man. Too bad he and Rhys have never even spoken]
