Massacre

Funaki has a hyperactive personality and well liked and respected by the majority of the Massacre roster, his hyperactive personality and eagerness to do his job well has meant he is well received by the fans. However Funaki has a tenancy to get lost in translation and is vulnerable to attack from heel superstars.

In his WWE days, Funaki was part of the faction-turned tag team Kai-en-Tai and a former Hardcore and Cruiserweight Champion. He has not won gold since its reformation to DXX.

Since Massacre's takeover by Chris Jericho, the interviewing team were in fear that they may be removed after the firing of former Play-by-Play commentator, Michael Cole, their fears were further increased with the introduction of new interviewer Chelsea Korka.

He is often seen interviewing Mickie James, though she dislikes him, it has been hinted that Funaki has a crush on the former Women's champion.
