Eddinger joined DXX in August 2008 when General Manager . Chris Jericho came into power. On the August 5th edition of the show, Jericho introduced Eddinger to both Tazz and Michael Cole before telling Cole he was fired. When Tazz greeted Eddinger, he was hostile towards him, hinting that he may be heel. The week after his debut he continued to criticise and demoralise his broadcast partner. Something which is very rare in a Play-By-Play commentator. At DXX Anniversary, Tazz publicly quit his job after insults from Eddinger. He then introduced his replacement, Jackie Risko. Eddinger seemed very impressed with his new partner, even attempting to flirt with her throughout the show.
