The Mitzi Show
From Bubblegum Wiki
The Mitzi Show is an Anime National original series which premiered on September 27, 2009 as a part of the "Animation Domination" lineup.[3] The series was produced by Anime National Pictures and Crayon Films as a spin-off from Shin Chan and the California Stimps, which was also produced by Taylor Media Stations Group.
Background
In the beginning of the series, Mitzi and her friend Keiko move from Kasukabe to Kumamoto.[4][5]
Mitzi has kind of had enough of her present living – she kind of realizes that she wants her own show, her own friends, her own stories. So the story sets out to Kumamoto to make it in a way that we'll have to keep a low profile until the show starts, and then she ends up telling her past somewhere else, which we'll also keep a low profile until the show starts. But he basically goes home – she lives in her hometown Kumamoto and rekindles an old college flame before Shin and Hima were born.

In the closing scene of the Shin Chan and The California Stimps special "Mommy Not Included", Mitzi breaks the fourth wall by mentioning to Shin that she is getting a spin-off.[7]
The theme song originally contained a line referring to Mitzi's "happy gay time," but this was replaced with "happy fun time" to make the song more sexually sensitive.[8]

[edit] Debut
Mitzi officially announced that she would work both on her own show as we'll as Shin Chan and the California Stimps and The Crayon Years, but Anime National Picture has hinted that she may come back to Kasukabe for occasional visits if necessary, and has also hinted that Hiro and some of the characters except Chiro, Hima, Shin (because the show's plot suggested that they never existed in Mitzi's early years) will visit Mitzi in Kumamoto. The show, which was scheduled to debut in the beginning of 2009, premiered on September 7, 2009.[2] Due to premieres of Full Metal Panic: In The Hood [16] and Soul Piece, [17] along with the renewal of Shin Chan and the California Stimps, The Super Happy Fun Time American Show is now the only cartoon on Anime National's primetime line-up that was only produced by Anime National Pictures and Crayon Films.
While both Shin Chan and the California Stimps and The Crayon Years air on Anime National and Live Network TV, The Mitzi Show will exclusively air on Anime National.[18] However, Live Network TV, along with Anivision's Late Night Crayon jointly acquired the rights to syndication of the show for this summer's debut.
