House Arryn
From Asoiaf
House Arryn is descended from the Kings of Mountain and Vale, one of the oldest and purest lines of Andal nobility. The Eyrie is the seat of the Arryns. Robert Arryn is the current Lord of the Eyrie.
Lady Jeyne of House Royce, the first wife of Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie, died in childbed, her daughter stillborn.
His second wife and cousin, Lady Rowena died of a winter chill, childless.
The childless Jon received Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon as his wards.
Aerys II Targaryen, King of the Seven Kingdoms demanded the heads of Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon from Jon. He revolted instead.
282 AL Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell and Jon married Catelyn and Lysa of House Tully, daughters of Lord Hoster Tully at Riverrun.
288 AL Jon and Lysa had a single son, Robert Arryn.
Jon Arryn was appointed Hand of the King.
King Robert gave a tourney on his son's name day. Jon Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie was healthy then, but a fortnight later he was dead.
Jon fell ill and died after a short while. Unable to save him, Grand Maester Pycelle gave Jon milk of the poppy to ease the pain. His sole son Robert became Lord of the Eyrie.
Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock accepted to take Robert Arryn, Lord of the Eyrie as his ward, but was refused by Lady Lysa. She and Robert then left King's Landing in the middle of the night without a word. Cersei was furious.
Lady Lysa and his son Robert travelled back to the Eyrie.
In a secret message to Catelyn Lysa said that Jon Arryn was murdered by the queen and the Lannisters.
