Medulla

From Yb Timeline

"A never-ending video game with such an engrossing plot filled with unimaginable plot twists, combined with interminable that never ends, keeping the populace engaged...

Clothing with subliminal messages stating to name me their ruler (after all, none can resist looking at messages on shirts)...

The plan to hack phone lines to transmit hypnotic impulses to peoples' minds nearly succeeded... if my machine had not exploded on me."

Medulla is a Pachirisu who, somehow, is from Kanto as opposed to Sinnoh. She was once owned by a member of Team Rocket, but after experiments were done on her, her intelligence increased vastly and she escaped. She became bitter and began plotting to take over Pokeworld. Most of her plans never work out for her, however. She claims that her goal is to make the world a better place under her rule, which may or may not be true.

History

Team Rocket

Medulla was once owned by a member of Team Rocket, right during the Team Rocket Rebellion due to the Rockets doing genetic work on human in Pokemon. Medulla was owned by a member against the rebellion who was spying, and in the end, the rebellion was defeated and the leader was killed. Not long after, however, Medulla had some genetic experiments done on her, causing her intelligence to multiply, her brain to swell up, and for her to gain full sentience of what was going on. Realizing just what Team Rocket was doing, she escaped from Team Rocket and disappeared.

One Pachirisu to Rule Them All

Once Medulla had escaped, she set up her own lab in Rock Tunnel and began gathering materials, building complex machines to aid her in her new goal: To rule Pokeworld, wipe Team Rocket off of it, and make the world a better place under her rule. However, each of her plans failed in a different way. Various plans known include a never-ending video game to engross the world populace in it, clothing with subliminal messages on them, hacking phone lines with hypnotic signals, and a device that would allow her to control other Pokemon.

Through all these plans, she was always relatively obscure; anytime she may have come into the limelight, it was quickly gone, leaving her to plan for a new attempt at world domination. One day, however, her lab was discovered by some far-off heroes of the YB and SWDF. They had been tricked into coming there by a Hitmontop cyborg named Opt, who stole the failed Pokemon control device. Opt had a Master Ball, however, which allowed the device to work... except it didn't work. Opt attacked the YB and SWDF people there (mainly Topper, his brother), which allowed Medulla time to escape to her lab and set it to self-destruct, knowing that they wouldn't stand her trying to rule Pokeworld. She did manage to take the Master Ball, though.

A Prophecy of Doom

As usual, I don't update character articles until stories are finished.

Personal Information

Personality

Medulla has a generally serious personality, and is almost always bitter and intolerable. She is a genius with an IQ that is through the roof, but she has a fairly one-track mind in her desire to conquer Pokeworld, although her reasons are stated to make it a better place (and maybe a little bit for herself). She never gives up, and continues trying no matter how many failures she sees.

Appearance

Medulla is a Pachirisu with a massively oversized head at least three times the normal size.

Abilities

Medulla has a genius IQ and massive intelligence, and can calculate equations, work machinery, build inventions, and even more with ease. She also knows these attacks:

  • Discharge
  • Super Fang
  • Light Screen

Final Smash: Volt Wave

Medulla takes out a radar dish connected to a generator, and connects two wires to her cheeks. She unleashes a Discharge, which transfers into the generator and to the radar dish which blasts out a massive wave of electricity, similar to Pikachu's FS but in wave form. The dish can be spun 180 degrees in all directions.

Items

Medulla has a large number of inventions she has used for failed plans, including a Pokemon control device stolen by Opt, although it was destroyed. She also has a Master Ball she took after Opt's attempt to use it with Medulla's Pokemon control device failed.

Attack Weapons

Medulla has built several gun-like weapons that fire various projectiles and other such things akin to Pokemon attacks, including a Swift Shooter, Gunk Gun, Seed Bomb Launcher, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Signal Beam, Aura Gun, Aeroblaster, Shadow Launcher, Psychic Beam, and Hydro Pump.

Interactions with Other Characters

Most Heroes (Team TOT, SWDF, PDF, etc.)

Most heroes view Medulla as evil due to her desire to rule Pokeworld. She understands their confusion to this, and though she sometimes tries to explain her true desires, she normally just tries to avoid them. Although she understands why they try to stop her, that doesn't mean she likes it.

Team Rocket

Medulla detests Team Rocket intensly, even though it was them that gave her gifted intelligence. Their crooked ways of dealing with Pokemon makes her want to stop them, and they are part of the reason she wishes to rule Pokeworld, so that they can be wiped off the planet.

Trivia

  • Medulla is based off The Brain from Pinky & the Brain; the main difference (besides being female) is Medulla doesn't have a goofy sidekick, making her overall situation more serious.
  • Medulla holds the distinction of being one of the few minor characters who starred in a story (for that matter, said story is quite a bit larger than most other stories). Not only this, but she starred in the story only a few stories after she was first introduced.
  • Medulla shares the trait of havin weapon(s) to use attacks her species would not normally learn with Dr. Pikachu.
