Spambots are remote computers which register then post a large list of links on a randomly selected page. All the spambots we have currently identified so far have similar characteristics:

• Their username consists of 6 random characters
• The first and third characters of the name are capital letters
• The IP range comes from 206-208.x.x.x in most cases
• Although they target pages at random, many spambots only attack Talk Pages.
• The majority of Spambots only spam once.
