PROMETHEUS SK/8 is identical to the PROMETHEUS SD/7, except for yellow highlights and eyes instead of green, and arms that end in cannons instead of hands. Although they actually use them in the story mode (they shoot heatseeker rockets), they can't be used in arcade mode, and will not use them if placed in a level made using the map maker. From the perspective of a player playing as the SK/8, it will have normal hands just like the SD/7.
Like many of the Ultranet characters, the PROMETHEUS SK/8 suffers from a lack of Shock Proofing, giving it a considerable disadvantage over other robots like R-110 or even Robofish. Also worth noting is that, although its gallery bio states it has improved traction control over the SD/7, their actual agility is identical.
