"We have succeeded in cloning the half Shadow Pikachu that escaped us long ago. During the cloning stage, we fused his DNA with the most powerful shadow energy we found, and he was cloned. We succeeded, and now his outer appearance has drastically changed. He is now XD002, or code named, "Dark Danny". He is the second full Shadow Pokémon ever since XD001, or, "Shadow Lugia". He was almost too difficult to keep him obtained in a capsule, but we did it. When we make enough Shadow Pokémon, we will release him, put a control collar on him, and he will lead the Shadow Pokémon army. We will take over the Pokémon Planet, then, the universe."

Pokéworld Peril is a Yoshi Bodyguards RP by Danny on G&W. It was also his very first completed story (His first attempt at this story failed due to being a near direct copy of Metroid Prime).

Story
Prologue: A Hair Raising Start
After whatever random events dealing with Terry and the like, Danny was complaining that he was really bored. Suddenly, the alarms of the HQ went crazy and a strange Beldum burst through the doorway, Top believing it to be the ice cream man. The Beldum then attacked Danny, while Top tried to become Fire UFO Kirby, but ended up in lighting himself on fire. Sneezier and PB started to attack it, while Top slammed into it. It eventually latched onto Danny with its grabbing side, and then ripped off part of his fur. It then fled outside to the small spaceship that it came in, and it flew off. Top then gave Danny ACME Hair Regrowth Formula, which resulted in Danny getting his hair back, but there were flowers on it for a short time.
Danny was going to suggest following it, but then they got an emergency message from a Yoshi researcher saying that he and several other researchers were there studying the Pokémon, but found out that Team Rocket were creating Shadow Pokémon. Before he could explain any further, he was cut off from transmission. Top started to remember something familar, but then he was hit with a rock. Danny then announced that everyone had to go to the Pokéworld to save the Yoshis. And so, everyone got on their ships and headed off to the Pokéworld...
Chapter 1: Cloning Blues
The gangs first stop was at Pallet Town, so that Pichup could get a better reading of where the transmission came from. Eventually, he tracked it to the vicinity of Mt. Moon, and they head there. As they arrived, Danny spotted two Shadow Sandslash near the west entrance of Mt. Moon. Top and Oshy arrive at the east end, which they entered and encountered a Shadow Clefairy. Sub's ship fired on the Sandslashes, fainting them and curing them of their Shadowness. Oshy managed to beat the Shadow Clefairy and she ran off, leaving only the gang in the cave. Danny then saw that the entire cave has been leveled for some reason. FF, Sub, and Oshy began discussing about Team Rocket and Giovanni, while Danny spotted a large capsule in the center of the cave. Danny read the computer terminal, showing that Team Rocket had cloned Danny with the fur they had gotten from the Beldum that attacked him earlier. They had succeeded, and had created XD002, or Dark Danny. However, right before the gang was about to try to destroy the capsule, it started to crack, and it shattered.
Dark Danny then revealed himself to be awakened by the presence of Danny, and thus the battle began. At first, he seemed to not flinch from all the attacks he was receiving, and continued to attack the gang. Eventually, he was brought down by repeated Skull Bashes by Danny. However, Dark Danny tried to get back up, but then he dissolved into dark particles that eventually faded away, signaling his defeat...for now. Two elevators then rose up from the ground, with the right one being locked. The gang boards the elevator on the left, and it went to the bottom floor. They arrived in a room full of computers and tanks, which Top tried to mess with but was stopped by Oshy. Suddenly, two Shadow Golems dropped from the ceiling but were quickly defeated. In the next room, there was a lot of fog blocking vision, but Danny made out a Pikachu like figure jumping into a large portal. The entire gang decides to chase after it.
They arrive in a world familiar to Danny, the Shadow Dimension. Shadow Danny then reveals himself, claiming to have upgraded the dangerousness of the Shadow Dimension from Danny's last visit. The atmosphere was toxic to non-Shadow beings, but Team Rocket had followed Shadow Danny into the world, bringing light crystals to negate the harmful atmosphere. He then fled into another portal, while the gang decides to try to find a way to unlock the other elevator. Just as Danny thought, in the next room was the same as the computer and tank room, but inverted in color. Danny then went to a computer terminal and managed to find a log of Team Rocket studying the Shadow Dimension. They then go to the elevator and arrive at the main floor of Shadow Mt. Moon. Danny then finds a Shadow Key in the center of the room, and opens the right elevator, causing it to be unlocked in the normal world as well. Danny then creates a portal using his own book of shadows so that the gang can go back to the normal world.
They head into the elevator, where it stops on a floor with a bunch of Rocket Grunts in it. They flee, while Jessie, James, and Meowth come in through the ceiling to try to stop Danny and the others. They bring in a giant mecha of Danny, which quickly falls to the groups attacks and they go blasting off again. However, the base is then set to self destruct. Danny quickly rushes to save the Yoshi researcher that was imprisoned, and the gang manages to flee to their ships and leave Mt. Moon before it explodes, making some of it cave in but making it habitable again.
Chapter 2: Foamy Undersea
The Yoshi researcher informed Danny that there were seven more Yoshis that Team Rocket captured, and two of them were held in an underwater base near the Seafoam Islands. The gang landed their ships near the islands, and proceeded to dive into the ocean to rescue the Yoshi. They reach an entrance to the base, and they park their ships there. As they proceed into the base, they find a large aquarium holding many Pokémon, some already Shadow Pokémon. In the next room, they find a machine that fuses the Pokémon's Pokéballs with Shadow energy and turns them into Shadow Pokémon. They eventually entered a room with a capsule containing the legendary Pokémon Suicune, which was a Shadow Pokémon once again.
However, right before they were about to try and purify it, Giovanni steps in and announces that they will not stop his plans. He also reveals that the Yoshi researchers they captured saw them stealing Pokémon, and he was going to have them exterminated for knowing too much. He then releases Shadow Suicune and flees, leaving the gang to defeat the legendary Pokémon. The gang weakened it enough so that P.B. and Sunset could use their light magic to purify Shadow Suicune. It was thankful for it's purification and it fled the base. They entered the chamber where one of the Yoshis was being held, and while Danny was freeing them, Pichup found some oxygen masks that some of the members could use to travel to an area they couldn't before in the base. They enter the underwater path at a junction they passed earlier, and they arrived in the large aquarium that they traveled through earlier, but they were outside of the glass path. P.B. and Sunset used their magic to once again purify the Shadow Pokémon that were there. Eventually, the gang arrived at another chamber where Shadow Pokémon were being created. Danny then hacked a computer to shut down the power to the entire base, but when he was done a Shadow Charizard attacked the group. It was quickly defeated and purified, and then it fainted. The next room was the other jail cell that was holding the other Yoshi, Danny used Iron Tail to break the bars and free him. However, the Charizard from earlier woke up and started going on a rampage, blowing up several machines, causing a chain reaction that activated the base's self destruct mechanism. The gang head through a wall that leads into another aquarium, which one of the walls explode allowing the Pokémon held captive to escape. They eventually reach their ships and escape the base right before it self destruct.
Chapter 3: You Whirl Me Right Round Baby
The Yoshi researchers they saved give intel that two more Yoshi researchers were being held at the Whirl Islands in the Johto region. After events dealing with Top giving out food and Pyro being himself, they arrive at the islands. Some of Sub's troops head off to Celadon City to restock, while everyone else enters the island caves. Once again, there were two paths down by ladders, but the one on the right was shielded. As the gang headed down the ladder into the caves, they came across some Shadow Pokémon. A Shadow Zubat attacked Pyro, who responded by throwing a pie at it. Eventually, the gang arrived at another Shadow Dimension portal and they headed inside. A few rooms later, Danny found a key that disabled the shield in the normal world, and they portaled back there. Down the ladder, they arrived in a large open ceiling room with a computer terminal and another capsule. The legendary Pokémon Raikou was kept inside and turned into a Shadow Pokémon, just like Suicune. Like before, Raikou bursts out of its capsule and fights out heroes. After weakening it enough, P.B. once again use his light magic to purify Raikou. The Raikou then revealed that Team Rocket had already finished their business here and left the Yoshi researchers behind, not caring what would happen to them. Then Danny found both of them in the same cell, and they left the islands without any self destruct problems.
Chapter 4: Heatin' Up for Round 2
One of the Yoshi researchers overheard a Rocket Grunt saying that they were having some trouble at Mt. Chimney, so the gang decides to head there. They find that Team Rocket had also made a base here, and they decide to head into it to see if they have another Yoshi researcher hostage. As they headed down the base with rooms full of magma, Danny noticed some dark particles in the air, but he just thought it was ash in the air. However, as soon as the gang stepped inside the elevator that went down deeper into the base, the dark particles formed together to reform Dark Danny! He then activated the elevator controls so that they couldn't escape, and the battle began. Dark Danny had a few new tricks up his sleeve, such as turning invisible to the naked eye and using a shadow powered Rollout to bounce around the arena. He killed several of Sub's troops and injured Sub badly, but was defeated once again. He then fell out of the elevator, dissolving into particles before hitting the lava.
As the gang headed into the next room, they saw some Rocket Grunts operating a machine that was shadowifying Entei. However, Danny blasted a Thunderbolt at the machine and it overloaded and exploded, sending the grunts flying into the ceiling and out of the base. Entei was not completely a Shadow Pokémon yet, but it unleashed a shadow Fire Blast that everyone avoided before it reverted back to normal by itself and it left. Then, they arrived in the cell holding a Yoshi researcher. Suddenly, the entire base began rumbling like crazy, and the Yoshi revealed that the volcano was set to erupt if he was saved! The gang quickly headed out the volcano base, but as soon as they did, the volcano started erupting and they thought they were doomed. However, Entei stepped in and forced the volcano to stop erupting and calm it down in return for the YBs saving him.
Chapter 5: The Omega Base Finale
At long last, the Yoshi researcher they just saved revealed the location of the last Yoshi, the Team Rocket Omega Base, in a mountainous area northwest of Olivine City. They soon arrive there and Danny distracts some Rocket Grunt guards with a Thunder somewhere behind the facility so that the gang could sneak in. Once inside, they were inside a large colosseum, with only Giovanni in the audience seats. Before the YBs could get to him, he revealed Danny's parents, turned completely into Shadow Pokémon. Danny was completely stunned, he couldn't fight his family! He simply could do nothing but stand there and have a painful flashback to when he was escaping Team Rocket as a child as everyone else tried fighting his parents to no success. Eventually, he snapped out of his heroic BSOD and tapped into his Shadow Pokémon abilities, and he drained the shadow energy out of his parents to revert them to normal. However, during the scuffle, Giovanni escaped further into the base and revealed that Team Rocket had created yet another powerful Shadow Pokémon, XD003, as a backup if Dark Danny hadn't succeeded.
As a precaution, Giovanni activated a shield around the base so that nobody could get in or out until it was deactivated. The YBs went further into the base, and found an elevator that led up to the roof of the base. They head inside, and once they reached the roof, they spotted Shadow Danny and Giovanni heading into another Shadow Dimension portal. They followed them into the Shadow Dimension, but as soon as they did, Giovanni revealed XD003...or Shadow Ho-Oh. During the long battle, one of Shadow Ho-Oh's stray attacks hit a cloaking device on the roof and Shadow Danny's toxic air machine was revealed. After Ho-Oh was purified by P.B. and Sunset's fully charged light magic blast, Danny opened a portal to let the fainted Ho-Oh fall in. However, during this, Shadow Danny activated his toxic air machine to overload and explode a high concentration of toxic gas that would kill any and all non-Shadow beings in the Shadow Dimension for a short time. He then stole Danny's shadow book and fled back into the base, where the gang chased him down into the Shadow Dimension version of the large colosseum where Danny's parents were fought. Cornered, Shadow Danny hastily created a portal for himself to flee in, but not before dropping several items, including Danny's shadow book. However, before Danny could grab it, a shadow force field surrounded the items. Dark Danny revealed himself to be not quite dead again, and challenged Danny and friends to a final battle. Eventually, after taking enough damage, Dark Danny surrounded himself in a seemingly impenetrable shadow shield that deflected all attacks. However, when he shot some shadow energy at Danny, he absorbed it and blasted it back, penetrating his shield and damaging him. The others follow his lead, reflecting the shadow energy back at Dark Danny and overloading him with it. Eventually, he could take no more and fell to the ground. He tried to get back up and attack Danny, but he couldn't muster the energy to, and simply faded away into particles once more, seemingly for good. The shadow force field around the items faded, and Danny not only got his shadow book back, but also a blue crystal that looked like the others Top was collecting. They fled the Shadow Dimension before it was too late, and arrived into the normal world version of the colosseum. Before the gang could celebrate though, the base was under attack by something. They fled to the outside of the base, where they saw Ho-Oh destroying it. After it was done, it radiated a large wave of light, purifying all the Shadow Pokémon that Team Rocket corrupted.
The Epilogue
Danny began to panic, as the gang forgot to find the Yoshi researcher that was being held captive. However, the Yoshi soon came out from hiding in a bush along with Danny's parents, revealing that he was saved by Ho-Oh before it started to destroy the base. Danny breathed a sigh of relief, and his parents thanked him for saving them. Danny dropped off his parents at Viridian Forest, promising that if they are ever in trouble again, they should call the Yoshi Bodyguards. The gang leave the planet, happy that they accomplished their mission.
Meanwhile...in the Shadow Dimension, the Team Rocket Omega Base was also in ruins from Shadow Danny's machine exploding. Suddenly, dark particles started to regather slowly, as a familiar figure began to reform again...
Trivia
- There was a first attempt at this RP with a lot more Metroid Prime elements, but Yoshi. was being jerkish about Metroid stuffs back then and was like "NO WAI" and Danny cancelled it. Eventually he agreed to let Danny try again, but with less Metroid Prime elements.
- The Shadow Dimension was created by Danny long before he had ever played Metroid Prime 2, but he decided to use it in this story.
- Mt. Moon exploded because Danny said XD.
