June Liang has had a long history with WMACS Camp going all the way back to 1990 when she first attended WMACS as a camper. Back then it was known as ACS for Association of Chinese Schools. The switch to WMACS didn't occur until 1993.

She would write a long saga about the history of WMACS and how it has changed and evolved and had its ups and downs but she's tired and needs to go to work early tomorrow. So she's just going to do lists. However, some of the listed things might have content, if you choose to go look. She remembers a lot of stuff about WMACS.

She looks forward to the day when she officially becomes a Great-Grand Counselor. The Grand Counselor officially occurred in 2001 when her camper Anita Cheng from 1998 and 1999 became a counselor. However, the title of Grand Counselor was not given until 2002 by Irene Liu's campers Molly Brown and Kara Suttery upon discovery that June had been Irene's counselor in 1998 and 1999.

1990 - Camper, Group Middle Girls (We didn't really have group names then.), Counselor - Anne Lin (See? This is truly old school.)

1991 - Camper, Group Middle Girls (Still not using names.), Counselor - Ting Wu (Yep, still old school.)

1993 - Camper, Group A (Ah! Pivotal point in WMACS history, established group names have begun.), Counselor - Amy Chen (Who are these people?)

1996 - Counselor, Group Little Girls (or "Xiao Nu Shen")

1998 - Counselor, Group GH (the oldest girls, it was an educational-based group classification system - H, M, E, K)

1999 - Counselor, Group G6 (the oldest girls, including future counselors Irene Liu, Anita Cheng, and Evelyn Chou)

2000 - Head Counselor, no group, just all-powerful (earned the unfortunate nickname of Liang Ah-Yi when Michael Lo didn't realize that I was on the list as well)

2001 - Co-Head Counselor with Harry Hsing, Group G9 (The year of madness! 171 campers and 16 counselors... I'm surprised we came out of there all in one piece)

2002 - Head Counselor, no group, still all-powerful

2003 - Head Counselor, no group, also served as one of the Folk Dance Teachers with Su-Cha Kang teaching the little boys Staff and Metal Fan.

2004 - Head Counselor, no group, starting to blend in with the staff

2006 - Counselor, Group G2 (just a normal counselor again)

June is known for being very spirited having been nominated for Most Spirited in 1998 and 2001. She also is expected to lose her voice by the 2nd or 3rd day of camp. Hence the popular "Be quiet, Jeffrey Ian! I don't want to lose my voice!" quote.
