Padua and April were born in Sydney to Sligh and Machera Holloway, a photojournalist and a higher up in Sydney's Department of Intelligence. The twins moved destination to destination with their father; travelling to China, America, Greece and Greenland all by the age of ten. At fourteen they were on a photoshoot with their father in the savannahs of Africa when they got the bright idea to leave the campsite (because it's boring, April said).
During their lapse of any common sense at all, they wound up being confronted by a lion. Scared out of their wits the twins clung to each other, thinking they were going to die. Instead of dying, a large robot appeared behind them and scared the lion off. Their father saw most of this happen and realized dragging his kids around wasn't safe, especially with abilities like they had, and sent them back to Sydney to stay with their mother.
No amount of arguing, whining or complaining could get their parents to change their minds. They were to stay in Sydney and go to high school like "normal" kids. Under no circumstances were they to summon the robot as a: joke, prank, scare-tactic, party trick, way to make money, way to get to school faster, way to pick up girls or to help clean the backyard.

Padua is a joker and a bit of a flirt. He's also got a little more common sense than his brother. It's usually Padua that has to remind April that the milk in the fridge is three weeks old and it's probably a bad idea of chug it on a dare.

Controls/summons half of a mech from another dimension, his twin brother summons the other half. If they are touching, the mech is summoned fully connected.
