A 20-year-old college student originally from America. Decidedly low-key about being an Angel.

The only child of an actor and a musician, Cory could have followed in either of their footsteps. But the life of a performer wasn't for him...no, Cory wanted to be a normal kid and go to school and throw spitballs. All his life he had to live with the pressure from his family to "make something of himself, put his wonderful talents and good looks to some use", and he hated it.
The more his parents pushed him, the harder he rebelled. Soon he was rebelling against everything, constantly getting in trouble with his teachers and anyone else he saw as trying to pressure him over anything.
When he was fourteen, he vowed that as soon as he finished high school, he would leave everything behind and start a new life in a different country. To ensure his success, he threw himself into his studies. His efforts more than paid off when he was given the chance to study in Sydney, Australia. As promised, he packed up the day after graduation and said goodbye to America. He swore he'd never go back as long as he lived.
After one year, his parents gave up trying to contact him. It's safe to assume he's disowned them and vice versa; Cory's basically disowned his entire life back in America save for his friends.
When he discovered he was an Angel, he didn't care. Anything was better than the life his family had wanted for him. While he takes the End of the World seriously, he's kinda quiet and apathetic about it sometimes.

Cory's been playing the guitar since he was ten, and to say he's good would be an understatement. A year ago, he discovered he could control emotions and thoughts through song. Since he's still honing his power, whether it works depends on the song he's playing. He's still honing that skill. He could get a huge reaction from "Seasons in the Sun" or a Beethoven symphony, but Pachebel's "Canon in D major" does nothing.

Cory is extremely sensitive about his past and his home life, tending to snap at anyone who even suggests he go professional with his music or enter the world of show business in any way. He has quite a temper and is easily angered, with the tendency to swear when he is.
He's also got major issues with authority. After spending his entire life rebelling against what other people want for him, it's been hard for Cory to get used to listening to other people, but he's slowly learning.
But deep down, he's actually a pretty nice guy. Despite his hatred of showbiz, he acknowledges its importance in society, and would never call another guy a sellout for joining a record label or anything like that (even if he was thinking it).
There's a small part of him that misses his home and his parents, but he's gotten pretty good at repressing it.
