Kane never knew what he was, not really. All he knew was he could control plants, from when he was young. His parents, discovering this, abandoned him at the age of 7 and he was shipped around orphanages until he ran away at 15, not even finishing high school.

Kane lived in downtown New York, getting by on his powers, which generally meant anyone who tried to off him or beat him up were unsuccessful and gained followers, eventually it turned into a gang. After getting an invite to the online community, Kane has distanced himself somewhat from his fellow street rats, but they still keep in some touch.

He's not the leader anymore, however, especially not when, as Alexander Pierson died, he took over his place as an Angel of NYC. Kane spent a few months as an Angel, seeing what Lucian was doing to Ris, he started to fear as well as respect the man. Was that really the way you treated someone you loved?

His friendships with the Seals grew and eventually, when Lucian killed Elian, Kane told Ris of her boyfriend's deception and joined the Seals at Ris' plea.

He recently moved in with Ria, and after a near disaster, Ris joined the two in their apartment. Kane knows his time is soon up, however, because Lucian is not a man to cross, and he turned traitor by a wink from Lucian's girlfriend.

So Kane will make the most of the time he has left.

Kane died on July 29th, 1999, in the second and final attack on Times Square.

Kane is pretty laidback. He gets riled up very rarely, and even if he does get pissed off, he doesn't stay that way for long. He'd rather avoid a fight than initiate it, but if you hit first, don't blame him if you end up with a black eye or some broken bones.

Flirty and extroverted, Kane is helpful to mostly everyone, but particulary the opposite sex. He doesn't try to be charming, and he doesn't really know the definition of the word, but if he gets labeled as such, he'll just laugh and shrug it off.

He's become more protective as of late, especially to his fellow Seals, which might explain some of his convertion to the other side.

Is a plantmaster. Can make just about anything grow, and anywhere. In the middle of the desert? Sure, but don't expect it to live for long. Concrete jungle? There too, watch the vines crack through the asphalt.

o1; Despite the fact that his power was what got him abandoned in the first place, Kane cannot bring himself to hate the fact that he has the ability to manipulate plants. If his biological parents weren't able to accept someone different, he thinks he probably wouldn't have wanted to have them as his parents anyway.

o2; When he was five, he grew a daffodil for his mother in the middle of February and brought it to her. She asked him where he'd gotten it, he told her the truth. She didn't believe him.

o3; She didn't believe him until two years later when he nearly fell off the roof of their house and was saved as the weeping willow outside her bedroom window stretched to the sky to cushion his fall.

o4; They moved away while he was at school shortly after. Kane hasn't seen them since, but coming home to an empty house was the worst day of his life and he will never forgive them for leaving a seven year old boy on the floor in the middle of a stripped living room until the neighbours knocked on the door 48 hours later, with the intention of asking why their mailbox hadn't been emptied for two days in a row.

o5; Even if Social Services searched for his parents, they weren't able to find them. Kane thinks they moved out of the country with his baby sister, or possibly to Alaska. His father was originally from there. Or so Kane seems to remember. He's not really sure.

o6; He'd been in seven foster homes and eight orphanages before he ran away at 15.

o7; He sabotaged his chances of staying in half of the foster families on purpose. He just didn't want to live with people who didn't know about what he could do ever again.

o8; The first job he ever had was as a pizza delivery boy when he was 16. He got fired after they learned he wasn't really 18 as he claimed he was. Kane retaliated by having a mushroom invasion erupt in every wall of the restaurant. He still doesn't regret it, if just for the look on the manager's face when he found out.

o9; He doesn't get riled up, no matter the circumstances. If there was one thing he learned while on the street it's that you can't linger, you can't bitch, and you can't emo, because you have to be on watch at all times, no matter who and in what situation you are.

1o; Still, he can't help feeling slightly beaten down by the fact that he knows Lucian is going to kill him.

11; But it's Fate. And he knows he made his own choices which got him in the situation he's in. He doesn't regret any of them.

12; He wish he could've known Elian, because it still feels a little bit weird to have replaced him on the Seal team. He supposes he'll meet him once he dies, and apologize. He was still an Angel at that point, after all.

13; He likes to sing, but he doesn't do it often. He'll randomly hum, but shut up whenever someone enters the room.

14; He can tell you just about everything there is to know about Central Park. He can also list all the parks of New York alphabetically. He's not sure if it's because he spent so much time in them or if it's because he can feel their presence at all times.

15; Sometimes he misses living alongside his streetfriends. But then... they were growing apart anyway.

16; He loves Ria like a sister, Ris like a friend, and Cath as she is.

17; He still thinks he should've asked out Ashley instead at Ris' request. Because it would've been hilarious. But he wouldn't want to break the poor boy.

18; He has seven piercings, two in his lip, one in his nose, two in each ear.

19; He wish he'd gotten more, but now he finds them symbolical if only because of Fate's obsession with the number 7.

2o; He still believes in Ris, even if she came so close to falling. He would like to believe she'll survive anything Lucian throws at her, but he can't pretend life has any guarantees.
