Erhmata is an island of reasonable size, located southwest of the Daxian Archipelago. It is one of the most significant outposts of the Matoran Armed Forces, and houses the MAF's largest barracks and training grounds. Save for the army presence, population of the island is minimal, but it is still represented in the Turaga High Council.
Erhmata is dominated by a tall unnamed mountain along its north shore, in the shade of which the army campus is built. The mountain contains precious metals, and as a result, a mining operation is in place on the island; half of the mined material is purchased by the army and used for creation of armour and weaponry.
Erhmata is a harsh and largely inhospitable island, with minimal to no vegetation present. As such, it is largely dependent on the Daxian Archipelago for sustenance for its army.
