• Magneto destroys the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City and makes a television broadcast demanding that the human race surrender to the mutants within 6 calendar months.
• Iron-Man and Thor assist with body retrieval from the attack on the bridge.
• Captain America, Hawkeye, and Black Widow apprehend and capture the Brotherhood of Mutants (Rogue, Toad, Hard-Drive, Vanisher, and Juggernaut) in New Jersey. This occurs immediately after the Brooklyn Bridge incident as the Brotherhood is watching news coverage of the event on television.
• Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver join the Ultimates.
• Iron-Man finds Xavier’s school abandoned. He makes the assumption that Xavier is aiding Magneto in his terrorism efforts and has left the school to join the Brotherhood of Mutants.
Notes:
- Magneto destroys Brooklyn Bridge approx. 6 months after he was “killed” by Professor X|Xavier in Ultimate X-Men 6. The Ultimates were formed during this timespan to prevent Magneto-level-threats from occurring again.
- Rogue refers to Hawkeye as the “new guy on the team” during the Brotherhood apprehension. Both Black Widow and Hawkeye were upgraded to public status from their black ops backgrounds in The Ultimates 8. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were designated as remaining in the Shadow ops section of the Ultimates in this same issue.
- Rogue’s age is identified as 14.
