Lizzie And Imogen

From Tyler Zahnke

"Lizzie And Imogen" is my eighth comedy bit. It was written in late January of 2011. It is a parody of Sarah McLachlan's "Building a Mystery". The song is a true story. It is all about that day in late 2009 when my friend, Lizzie, got to see Imogen Heap in concert. I wasn't there, but she told me her story, for she and I are both big Imogen Heap fans. I was able to tell the whole story in one parody bit.

Lyrics

In 2009, Imogen Heap had just come down to Illinois, Filled the fans with joy. And some fans got a chance to go talk right to Heap, And they talked 'bout their fav'rite part of the concert day. It's Lizzie and Imogen. Well, Lizzie was there, With a smile on her face. And she couldn't wait to talk to Imogen Heap. She was such a diehard fan She was always singing "Whatcha Say". She attended this concert, And she said it was the best day. Good for you, Lizzie. You can say what you want. Okay, Lizzie! You had the time of your life. An interview, Lizzie and Imogen. Interview, interview. An interview, Lizzie and Imogen. She sang along, quietly. The fans were screaming loud, They were singing "Just for Now", And Lizzie loved it, she'll remember for years, oooooh. She really enjoyed it. Made her feel like a queen, Just what she needed, she decided this. Good for you, Lizzie, A wonderful time you had. Well, okay, Lizzie. Talk to Imogen. An interview, Lizzie and Imogen. Interview, Interview. An interview, Lizzie and Imogen. She sang along, quietly. Interview, Lizzie and Imogen. Interview, Interview. An interview, Lizzie and Imogen. She sang along, quietly. An interview, Lizzie and Imogen. Interview, interview. It's an interview, Lizzie and Imogen. She sang along, quietly. It's Lizzie and Imogen.
