How to Book Courts

From Tennis

The committee is reviewing the weekly programme from last year, attached, in the light of the low use of the courts on some evenings. In addition the introduction of floodlighting on hard courts 7 to 9 mean that a new court booking system is required to manage the use of those courts. This online facility will also allow the grass courts to be booked for competitive matches outside of social mix-in sessions.

The intention is that all bookings should be done online to guarantee the use of the court. If you have not booked online, you may not be entitled to use the court. This may necessitate an online facility being operated at the club, in both the pavilion and clubhouse, so that bookings may be checked and made on-site.

This will be very much a new approach for the club. We need to develop processes which work for everyone as far as possible.

Finally, the new booking system requires a log-in and password for each user. These details will be sent to each member when you renew your membership for the coming season.

Booking Instructions

Logging on

Once on the booking site you need to sign in with your username and password.

  1. Courts 7-9 are floodlit and can be booked if available by members in half-hour slots.
    • No other courts can be booked except by committee members, club captains or coaches.
  2. The floodlit courts can be used until 9.00pm and will then be shut off as this is a condition of the planning consent.
  3. The booking of courts must be done on the website. Unless booked on the website, members face the risk of being thrown off midgame so it is essential the floodlit courts are booked in advance.
  4. Payment of floodlit time is made by tokens which must be purchased in advance. They can be purchased from the bar. (Or from committee members if the bar is closed.) It is recommended that purchases are in batches of no less than 10 tokens. Three tokens will provide for 90 minutes' floodlit time. One token purchases half an hour.
  5. The maximum number of slots that can be booked by a member for a single session is three.
  6. Once you have logged on, you can change your own login details, if you wish.
  7. If you have not received a username and password, please contact Chris Lewis on 07770 562 569 or email chris@jaza.clara.co.uk
