| + | Eights finals were held, with the Junior events starting at 11:00am and the Open events starting at 2:00 pm. The events were all played on grass in glorious weather. A large gathering of members and their families enjoyed watching tennis of a good standard, with all matches keenly contested. The outstanding final of the day was the Mens' Open event between the defending champion, Jack Freeman, and Malcolm Parker. Who said serve and volley tennis was dead? These two very fine players came to the net at every opportunity and produced a very entertaining final. Jack won after a very long match, with the third set going to 19 - 17. | ||

Report on Club Championships held Saturday 17th July
Eights finals were held, with the Junior events starting at 11:00am and the Open events starting at 2:00 pm. The events were all played on grass in glorious weather. A large gathering of members and their families enjoyed watching tennis of a good standard, with all matches keenly contested.
