Uverture: AIDS of Spades is song by The Coarse Smell of Burning Decayed Flesh. It was made and recorded in early 2008 and published on The Curse of the Virgin Earth. It's lyrics and music is made by Xavier Scullcrusher. It's also singed by him. It was an intro song for The Curse of the Virgin Earth.

History of song

Song was recorded because of need to make an overture/intro song for The Curse of the Virgin Earth. However, the Baphomet's March (till Harmageddon Battle) was chosen to lead song for The Curse of the Virgin Earth. The track order was then re-made: Uverture: AIDS of Spades was chosen to first song, but it ends into bell ring, because the Baphomet's March (till Harmageddon Battle) begins (and also ends) with bell ring.

The first version of songs were more similar than power metal. However, the problem was, that the intro song had to be instrumental, quite short and willingly slow and melancholic. The new version of song filled those conditions and it was accepted to the overture.

Particular features

Uverture: AIDS of Spades is shortest song of The Coarse Smell of Burning Decayed Flesh. It's also only song which contains saxophone: in AIDS of Spades there's even saxophone solo.

Song's name refers to Motorhead's hit Ace of Spades. Also the ending riff is token from that song.
