Character information and background
The microworld is in a state of disorder. While there are many that have faith in the traditions and beliefs of ages past, there is increasing support for a New World Order. Promising to unite the struggling states under unifying peaceful governments, the warlords that emerge often deliver nothing but death using only the latest and most powerful technological tools of terror. Occasionally, however, talented military minds fall in line with benevolent rulers, but the clash of personalities may be more then the nation can bear.
Greg Nordman went to school with Bill Trihus and was one of his early friends. Both of them experienced firsthand the bitterness of cold war between the GCK and UCR. Although technically united under the banner of the Apolyton Nation, the two states were always in a state of cultural and ethnic tension, conflicts that often reached so far as the rural United Demesos. Although overjoyed when he heard the news of a great Demesosian victory over the lands of Automatica, backlash in the form of the Automatic armies and Jasonian air force soon shattered his hopes. The combined might of the two nations effectively reduced Demesos to rubble. Greg took the shadow alias Assassinite and followed Bill’s family to Tapfer, the location of the government-in-exile.
Tapfer participated in a doomed project to save Audentior, but this merger brought Bill and Greg back face-to-face with the person that had ordered the destruction of their homeland: Jason Steffke. Far from the militant they assumed, Jason was a pacifist lover of democracy that had had no choice but condemn the actions of Demesosia and join the attack on what was considered a “terrorist state.” This served as a rude awakening to both of them, as they both previously saw their homeland’s cause as just but realized now how petty their government had been. In an unforeseen turn of events, both of them joined up with Mr. Steffke and convinced the Tapferite government to do the same after the death of Audentior.
Public elections in Jasonia brought “Assassinite” into the Commander in Chief possession, removing the longtime and well-liked Gman Pinky. Assassinite instituted bold new plans for defense and proposed a massive increase to the government’s military budget. Many murmured at this, but the recent FIoJ victories over the PRH and rogue states of Mar Sara and Umoja showed just how many people were willing to stand against Jasonia. Assassinite’s position and plans for military might were secure.
Personality and Skills
Assassinite provides an interesting counterbalance against Gman. Ignoring the former CinC’s tactics based on ancient combat strategies, Assassinite prefers to create new attack plans that take advantage of recent developments in technology. This has lead Jasonia to turn more from a highly-trained army to a highly-advanced one, a change many people worry about.
Assassinite himself is an interesting modern-day general. He is willing to lead his forces into battle with himself at the lead rather the plot strategies from a war room, which says a lot about his personality. Assassinite has a lot of zeal for Jasonia and for its glory, and is willing and able to dedicate himself fully towards the “cause”, whatever he determines that may be.
