Character Information and Background:
The Pinky family is one with deep roots in the Apollo Sector and can be traced back as far as the formation of Jasonia tribe after the last human World War. After the fall of Jasonia Kingdom to the Kingdom of Audentior, Duke Pinky, a local lord, was given direct control of the area, which was renamed Pinkania. For around 250 years the Pinky family ruled without incident. They became known as an especially valent and honor-driven people.
During the Revolution of Audentior, Provincial armies won their first great victory against the Audentior magical warriors in Pinkania. It is rumored, although not proven, that the Pinky family had supported the revolution. Although the Pinky Duke was removed from power, his family continued to live in the region and were outspoken supporters of freedom and revolution.
During the Automatic War, Demesosian armies closed in on Pinkania in their effort to conquer Automatica. Duke Gman Pinky, who had met Jason Steffke earlier and knew of his plans for the area, kept them away from the land that would become the FIoJ. After the formation of the country, the Pinky family immigrated and became some of Jason's strongest supporters.
Gman Pinky was promoted to the rank of general partially because of his support, but perhaps more so because of his family's longstanding valor and honor in combat and other matters.
Personality and Skills:
Gman Pinky might be considered somewhat old-fashioned, but there are many that wish to see more people like him in what is becoming a ruthless world. Gman is polite yet to the point. His family focuses on obediance, so he is a natrual soldier and can easily take orders. In Jasonia, Gman's tactical skills are unmatched, although he admits he still has much to learn. Gman prefers to command ground forces, but he is an exceptional Epoch pilot and has been known to lead aircraft into battle.
Gman uses a Jasonian-made laser sword for melee combat. The laser sword is a decivily difficult weapon to use. The sword's "blade" is made up from a cutting laser that is manipulated by shield fields. The laser winds around itself in an unusal repeating pattern, giving the impression of a constant blade of about 3 feet in length. The beam can pass through other laser swords (making Star Wars-esque laser sword battles impossible) and can cut many things, although it does take time to penetrate any surface due to technical issues. A laser sword also has very little weight, making it easy to swing too hard. All in all, laser sword combat is very different from normal sword combat, making a laser sword exceptionally dangerous to an unskilled user.
Despite their roots in the magical Jasonia tribe, Gman's family has never developed magic skills, prefering to focus on knowledge instead.
