Created By Road Roller in late 2005, the Studio's original name was ScrapYard Studios, but when the second redub project went into consideration, it was renamed to what it is today. The Studio has so far only had one Redub Released, being Saved From Scrap. Starring a Small Voice-over Cast featuring Chris, Alaric and Ryan and more.
The short history starts, when Bono first joined SiF under the guise of Dolgoch, his first username. After a while, Dolgoch befriended Skarloey, who had joined a couple of weeks before. When Dolgoch laid eyes on Sodor Studios' Cranky Bugs, he was inspired and wanted to make one of his own. Since Dolgoch at the time was no script writer, he proposed the idea to Skarloey, who agreed to become partners and to write the script. The Episode chosen was Four Little Engines, starring Kate669 as Edward, and Skarloey playing his Engine counterpart. The Movie, in terms of now, was a Big Flop. Although everyone said it was good, Dolgoch could see he needed to learn more about Windows Movie Maker, so he left the redubbing business for then, even though it was announced a Second Dub, Peter Sam and the Refreshment Lady. Which never came to being.
The Old Studio, which was named Skarloey Studios, soon started to collect dust at the back of the Multimedia section of the old SiF. Sooon the next year however, the now re-named Road Roller decided to take another shot, after practising with Windows Movie Maker. Since Road Roller had a keen intrest in Steam Road Going Traction Engines, he chose Saved From Scrap. He wrote the script himself, and after confiding in SiF Moderater Ryan, to look it over and see if anything could be improved. Ryan gave it a thumbs up, and the Project was announced. Starring Chris as Trevor, Alaric as Edward and Ryan as the Vicor. The Redub Finished off with a Touching Music Video, in Memory of the Traction Engines that did not make it into Preservation.
With the Success of Saved from Scrap, Road Roller decided to do the Next Trevor story, Thomas and Trevor. Featuring real footage of Traction Engines on the Rally Field, recorded by Road Roller himself. But since it was the middle of winter, he would have to wait untill the Rally Season in summer, which is what he did. After Hyperboards failed and the all New SiF came into light. Sodor Studios began toying with the idea of combining two episodes to make feature lengths, such as the recently released The Adventures of Fergus by Flying Kipper Studios. Road Roller liked the idea, so he decided to combine Thomas and Trevor with Edward, Trevor and the Really Useful Party, which would be entitled Trevor the Traction Engine, which is still in production, awaiting lines. There of course may be future projects as well, which may not feature Thomas at all, see below for Future Ideas and projects.
