Kate669's real name is Michelle, not Kate - but she still answers to either name. An avid fan of Thomas & Friends since the age of three, she joined Sodor Island Forums (formerly the Thomas Fan Forums) in January 2004, and was promoted to moderator in mid-2005. She has performed in a number of fandubs in various Thomas circles, her favourite and most popular role being that of Percy the Small Engine. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to performances - she has been in plays since her days at infant school, and loves to sing. Other interests include drawing, writing, browsing the Internet, and some light sewing.
English by birth, Kate has lived in America since age seven. Having finally accepted her status as an American resident (but still not a citizen), she currently resides in Hampton, Virginia.
Achievements
Kate was a fast learner from the start, and could read by the age of three. She was so good at it, in fact, that she thought she had to slow down her out-loud reading pace to match that of her classmates! She participated in (and won) her first spelling bee at age nine, and went on to take the third-place trophy at age eleven. In 1999 she graduated from Quemado High School (3rd in a class of 16) with a 3.8 GPA and an ACT score of 22. She struggled with math and science throughout her school years, but is now able to use both to her advantage in everyday life.
2000 saw Kate's first professional acting experience, through a one-time shot with the London Frontier Theatre Company of Magdalena, New Mexico. She has since joined up with a close friend to sing an array of Broadway favourites for local board meetings and senior citizens, since her awkward schedule does not allow for many professional drama experiences. However, she has hardly been out of the public's eye - her performances can be found in several online circles, including her voicework in the Thomas & Friends redubs put on by Sodor Island and other studios. She also compiles music videos for said redubs, under her own "Studio669."
In November 2009, Kate gave birth to a son, the very first SIF baby. He is also a Thomas fan.
