Boomlanders
From Slinkiwiki
Citizens of Fahrenbaum. The term originally came about as an insult, as those in the Animal Kingdom and Te'Nahsee first saw Fahrenbaum explorers in their own lands. As Fahrenbaum had never really known that magic levels varied depending on where you were, nor even that magic existed, let alone allowed Fahrenbaum natives to build things that even Rube Goldberg thought were impossible. The results were... not as impressive as could be hoped for. One way or another, devices build by Fahrenbaumers, for Fahrenbaumers had an astoundingly high failure rate. Steam engines would explode, zepplins would crash, internal combustion went external, you name it. And it always happened at the worst possible times.
The problems were so severe that neither the AK nor the Te'Nahsee natives could believe that a Fahrenbaumer could leave their own houses without an explosion sending them out into the streets. They'd wake up, go to fix breakfast, and Boom. They're landing in the middle of the road. It didn't take long for the nickname to stick. Even after getting their act together and developing suprisingly adept approximations that would function in other lands, anyone hailing from Fahrenbaum was a 'Boomlander' to any animal or Te'Nahsee native they came across.
