*over Hampstead 1930-2010hrs: a '''large very pale falcon''' circling with a crow. Its body was the same size as the crow, and appeared very heavy, and the wingspan appeared slightly less, with the wings pointed and very deep at the root. Against a dark cloud the bird appeared almost pure white underneath, with the upper wing and body cream, with some pale brown dashes. It was slightly darker under the relatively short, thick tail, but had no visible barring. The head appeared white, with no falcon "moustache", but a small black eye patch. The bird circled high in the area for at least 40 minutes, with relatively short rapid wing beats, and while being mobbed ineffectively by the crow. Any suggestions, anyone? (Sash Tusa)- what direction did it fly? Eventually lost sight to the South. [We've had this bird over Brent Res twice - it's an escape hybrid falcon. AS]
