London Bridge: Little Egret west at 06:58 (Marcus Lawson)
Alexandra Park: Reed Warbler still singing from Conservation Pond (Bob Watts).
Walthamstow Res: Green Sandpiper (ragged from inner primary moult, so non-breeding adult), 2 Common Sandpipers, Lesser Whitethroat, 18 Shelducks (inc. brood of 14), pair Gadwall, 2 Collared Doves, 6 Stock Doves, Chiffchaff, 2 GSWoodpeckers (inc. a juv.); Little Egret news: 3 adults seen heading south over Lockwood, plus the three juvs still around No1 island. General: yesterday's very mimetic Reed Warbler is still present in Japanese Knotweed below the pylon between Nos 2 & 3, and does indeed have a broad repertoire delivered with great gusto! (David Callahan). PS - Also first Meadow Brown of the year.

Barnes WWT: 1 Green Sand (2 reported), Redshank chick still alive and flying strongly, at least 4 fledged Common Terns + another 4 chicks, LRPs nesting again, also 4+ juv Lapwing plus one smallish (10 days old?) chick, Pochard with 6 chicks, Tufted with a brood of 4, 6 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 1 Hobby flying downriver (Matthew Palmer).
Tate Modern: at least two Peregrines around the tower at lunchtime, inc. a noisy presumed juvenile (no bins views - Rob Innes).

Walthamstow Marshes: Lesser Whitethroat, 5 House Martins, 7 Sand Martins, 3 Linnets (Mark Pearson)
Walthamstow Res: A juvenile Little egret on island of No.2, 4 seen earlier flying around No.1. A singing 'acro' between No.2 & 3 sung with much mimickry for over an hour before reverting to straight Reed Warbler. (Included; House Sparrow, Linnet, Curlew, Common Tern and Blackbird amongst other weird warblings.) Very skulking but eventually views revealed no pale tips to primaries, which were fairly evenly spaced, though 6-7 tips visible, and gape appeared orangey and bird fairly pale. On balance a Reed Warbler, perhaps a late unmated bird incorporating a bit of extra va-va-voom for the ladies! On the Lea a pair of Egyptian Geese, both rung, the female's ring being 1290135. Anyone know where she's from? (Paul Whiteman) You could try the on-line reporting form on http://blx1.bto.org/euring/metalring/recovery-form.jsp?LAN=en (Martin). Launders Tip: Yellow Wagtail, 2 Black-tailed Skimmers, many Meadow Browns, Small Heaths and Small Skippers, 2 Cinnabars, 3 Small Tortoiseshells, 2 Peococks, 5 Spot Burnet, 4 Spotted Chaser, Ruddy and Common Darter and an Emperor Dragonfly.(Dave Morrison)
West India Quay: Probable male Ferruginous Duck seen twice in flight over West India Dock. This was seen by a colleague who was in work. He was unable to see if/where it landed. (Richard Harrison per James Deciacco).

East India Dock NR: 2 Reed Bunting (male & juv), 2 Sand Martin, LRP, singing Reed Warbler, 2 Goldfinch, 5 Greenfinch, (Richard Harrison).
Walthamstow Res: Cuckoo (N), Egyptian Goose, Kingfisher, pair Black Swans, 2 Shelduck broods (4 chicks on E Warwick, 13 on No.3); Little Egret news: both broods have now fledged (2 from No.2 nest, 3 from No.1) and are easily viewed from causeways on any side of the two reservoirs (David Callahan).

Mudchute Farm: Monk Parakeet displaying to Mistle Thrush! (Matt Reed)
Cromwell Ornamental Pond: 1 Common Tern fishing successfully on this very small pond and showing down to 6 feet (Matt Reed)
London Wetland Centre: 3 Black Tailed Godwits dropped in to Main Lake (WWF Hide) at 0900hrs for five minutes, these birds flew off, half an hour later six different birds flew in to same spot. (total 9 birds). 1+ Green Sandpiper Main Lake, 5 Lapwing juvs still also on Main Lake with 1+ small chick, 1 Redshank juv, 2 pairs of LRP (one pair incubating at least three eggs on the Wader Scrape), 8 Teal, 15 Pochard ducklings (2 broods of 9 and 6) 7 Common Tern chicks on raft + 2 fledged juvs. Yesterday (23rd) 3 Curlew SW at 06.00 (Martin Honey), Kingfisher, Hobby. Crossness Southern Marsh (formerly Erith Marshes): Squacco Heron present again to 17:10hrs at least; also Redshank, 7 Ring-necked Parakeets, female Stonechat, Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler and Chiffchaff (Dominic Mitchell).
Rainham Marshes: Spoonbill still present to 13:15hrs at least, also 22 Little Egrets, 17 Grey Herons, drake Garganey, 9 Teal, 4 Shoveler, first-summer Common Gull, Cuckoo, 100+ Common Swifts, 2 Lesser Whitethroats and Weasel with Moorhen chick (Dominic Mitchell) but no sign of Marsh Warbler (A Self). 3+ Hobbies (Paul Hawkins)
Woolwich Ferry: first-summer Common Gull at 17:50 hrs (Dominic Mitchell).
Tyttenhanger GPs: drake Scaup still showing well on main pit (Birdguides)

Rainham Marshes: Marsh Warbler singing for its second day 12:28pm and still present at 6pm. Access from visitor centre during reserve opening hours, or off New Tank Hill Road and through Spider Park onto seawall at other times. Please do not leave the path.(Birdguides) Male Peregrine over the reserve at 3pm and the Spoonbill again, ( Vince Halley-Frame et al); also, 2 Hobby, Bearded Tit (David Bradnum, Chris Langsdon); Marsh Warbler still present to 6.45 pm at least, also drake Garganey and 11+ Little Egret (Jonathan Dean).

Crossness Southern Marsh (formerly Erith Marshes): Squacco Heron again present up to 19:30hrs at least (Birdguides); also pair Stonechat (Matthew Palmer); probable Purple Heron reported flying over nearby housing estate mid-afternoon (Richard Green per Nick Tanner).
Paddington Green: Common Buzzard drifted south at 10.16hrs (Des McKenzie, Nick Tanner).
Rainham: singing male Marsh Warbler present in scrub and reedbed along sea wall west of green gates til mid-evening; Spoonbill first-summer bird flew from direction of Thames towards silt lagoons at 12.20hrs; at RSPB res 2 Avocet on rifle pools & f Bearded tit in reeds near Aveley pool, also 2 Cuckoo and Hobby from visitor centre (John Murray), and Little Egret, drake Garganey and three drake Teal on scrape by visitor centre in evening, plus four Yellow-legged Gulls (ad, 3s and two 2s) on Dartford side of river (Dominic Mitchell).
Tyttenhanger GPs: 4 Redshank, 2 Ringed Plover, 1 Oystercatcher, 2 Shellduck, 3 Common Tern, good number of Sand Martin, 6 Skylark, 9 Reed Bunting (Steve Blake).
Camden: Singing Black Redstart in the area (Chris Wilkinson).
Trent Park Area: 2 prs Little Grebe + 1 brood (2 young); 1 male Cuckoo; 1 female Green Woodpecker; 1 singing male Lesser Whitethroat; 2 singing male Goldcrest, Williams Wood; 3 Swallow; 1 female Reed Bunting, carrying food; 1 male Meadow Brown (Robert Callf).

Crossness Southern Marsh (formerly Erith Marshes): Squacco Heron still present this evening. Also a Quail seen and heard intermittently in long grass around the gorse and bramble on the SE corner of the horse paddock east of Southmere Lake, still present 19.00; also Hobby and Stonechat (John Archer/Roy Beddard/Pete Lowman et al). No sign of Quail 1930 to 2100hrs (David Callahan).
Rainham Marshes: Spoonbill still present to 08.30hrs at least (Birdguides).
Canary Wharf: 6 Tufted Duck (5m, 1f) in West India Dock, 2 Common Tern (in fact nesting on raft), Woodpigeon, 5 Herring Gull, 2 Canada Geese, 2 Cormorant, 2 m Mallard (J Lethbridge).
Bow Creek Ecology Park: 4 Grey Heron, 15+ Mallard, 3 Coot, Moorhen, Cormorant, 2s GBB Gull, 5 LBB Gull, 3 Herring Gull, Black-Headed Gull, 2 Reed Warbler, 2 Goldfinch, 4 Starling, 3 Magpie, 10+ Sand Martin, 1 Crow, 1 Greenfinch, Whitethroat, Blackbird, 2 Blue Tit, GS Woodpecker (J Lethbridge).
