Helmsley is scheduled to return to the GWF on February 24, 2013 at Chaos Theory, Helmsley is set to team with Sheamus now known together as 'Cerebral Warriors' and will go up against The Inside-Outers (Brad Maddox and Chuck Taylor) and House of Pain (Matt Morgan and Crimson) in a No. 1 contenders match at the GWF World Tag Team Championship. On the March 18, 2013 episode of Raw Triple H teamed with Sheamus once again to challenge Rated-RKO (Randy Orton and Edge) but was unsuccessful in getting the Tag Team Championships from them. It was later revealed that Sheamus' contract with GWF was up.

In 2013 Hunter and Michaels reformed D-Generation X, they lost a number one contender's match to The American Wolves on the September 2, 2013 episode of Raw. It was later announced that DX would face The Inside Outers for the GWF Tag Team Championship at Global Warfare.
