Serrano had originally formed a tag team with Evan Bourne named Air Boom and won the IWE Tag Team Championship on the August 22nd episode of Raw. Air Boom went on to successfully defend their titles against B-Truth and The Miz at Night of Champions via disqualification after the Miz assaulted the referee in the midst of the match. They then entered into a feud with Lynn Lehr's two clients, Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger, and they successfully defended their titles against Ziggler and Swagger at both Hell in a Cell and Vengeance.
On November 1, 2011, Bourne was suspended by IWE for 30 days for his first violation of the company's Wellness policy. Kingston was put in tag team matches with various face Superstars throughout Bourne's suspension. Bourne finally returned to IWE television on December 5th, 2011. Air Boom then lost to Primo and Epico on the December 15 episode of IWE Superstars in a non-title match. Five days later, Air Boom's feud with the Puerto Rican duo continued at the TLC 2011 pay per view, where in a title match they defeated Primo and Epico. On the January 6 episode of Smackdown, they were defeated by Primo and Epico. At a house show on January 15, Air Boom lost the IWE Tag Team Championship to Primo and Epico. On the January 16 episode of Raw, Air Boom were awarded a rematch but failed to regain the titles. The following day, Bourne was suspended again for his second violation of WWE's Wellness Policy.
Serrano then began teaming with B-Truth, after Bourne's suspension broke up Air Boom, facing the likes of Primo and Epico and Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger which they both won and lost, respectively. On the February 27 edition of Raw, Serrano and Truth failed to capture the IWE Tag Team Championship from Primo and Epico in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, also involving Ziggler and Swagger. On the April 30 edition of Raw, Kingston and Truth defeated Primo and Epico to win the IWE Tag Team Championship. At Over the Limit, Serrano and B-Truth successfully defended the titles against Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger and then again in a rematch on the May 28 episode of Raw. In the pre-show of Money in the Bank, Serrano and Truth defeated Hunico and Camacho in a non-title match. The following night on Raw, they successfully defended the IWE Tag Team Championship against Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil and Darren Young). At SummerSlam, Serrano and Truth defeated Prime Time Players to retain the IWE Tag Team Championship. At Night Of Champions, Kody Brown and Kane defeated Jose Serrano and B-Truth to become the new IWE Tag Team Champions.
