Broken Bodies (2016) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Incorporated Wrestling. It will take place on May 22, 2016, at the Majestic Valley Arena in Kalispell, Montana It will be the eighth event under the Broken Bodies chronology.

Background

Main article: Professional wrestling

Broken Bodies will feature professional wrestling matches that involved wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WIW's primary television programs, Rage and ShowDown. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

At Retaliation, Kevin McAlmond defeated Kevin Hunter to retain the WIW World Heavyweight Championship. On the following Rage, Daniel Mazurek invoked his rematch for the WIW World Heavyweight Championship at Broken Bodies, but McAlmond declined, later that night KJ Styles defeated Mazurek to become No.1 contender, Mazurek would then interferer in a match between McAlmond and Matt Borske Mazurek and the rest of Borske's faction The Authority of Wrestling attacked and assaulted friends that McAlmond invited to watch the event for the night, McAlmond would win the match by disqualification when Mazurek attacked McAlmond as well, putting him through the announcers table. On the May 10 episode of Rage, McAlmond attacked Mazurek backstage, accepting Mazurek's rematch setting up a Triple threat for the title. On the May 13 episode of ShowDown, it was announced that McAlmond, Mazurek and Styles brawled through the arena, before being escorted out by security, it was announced later in the week that, Rex Martin added that the match would be held under Extreme Rules match for the WIW World Heavyweight Championship at Broken Bodies.

At Retaliation, the no.1 contenders tag team tournament final between The Varsity Club (Devin Sullivan and Ryan Wilson), Harlan Storm and Scott Wright and The Wolf Pack (Derek Hale and Scott McCall) ended in a disqualification. On the May 13 episode of ShowDown, it was announced that The Varsity Club, Harlan Storm and Scott Wright and The Wolf Pack would face the Tag Team Champions The Doomsday for the WIW Tag Team Championship at the Broken Bodies event. On the May 17 episode of Rage, the debuting The Theory defeated The Doomsday, it was announced later that night The Theory would be added to the match as well making it Six team elimination match at the event.

At Retaliation, Courtney Hope defeated WIW Women's Champion Kaila Matteson via countout in controversial fashion; when Matteson's boyfriend took her from the arena. On the following Tuesday on Rage, Matteson was scheduled to defend the Women's Championship against Courtney Hope, with RC Pearce banned from ringside, Rex Martin would than add the stipulation Last Women Standing Steel Cage match, also adding that if Pearce somehow gets in involved, Matteson would lose the title.

On the May 5 episode of Rage, Jax Teller defeated John Borske, Chris LaGreca and Jesse Dern in a elimination match to earn a title match against WIW United Nations Champions Cam Dana at Broken Bodies.

At SuperBrawl VIII, Dustin Simpson won a Ladder match to win the WIW International Championship. On the April 12 episode of Rage, Tipton interrupted Rex Martin and demanded a title shot, Rex instead booked him in a #1 contender's triple threat match between Daniel Mazurek, Ryan Barnhart and Travis Tipton, which saw Mazurek won. At Retaliation, Ryan Barnhart defeated Travis Tipton, during the title match between Simpson and Mazurek, Barnhart and Tipton brawled down the ramp, and at the ropes, Mazurek tried to throw them, but Simpson pinned him to retain the title. After the match, the four continued to the brawl in the ring with Tipton standing tall at the end holding the International Championship. The next Tuesday on Rage, another #1 contender match between Tipton and Barnhart occurred, but the match ended in a no contest after Mazurek, who was on commentary, attacked Barnhart. Simpson then ran down to the ring and the fight ended with Barnhart standing tall holding the championship. On the May 7 episode of ShowDown, Simpson interrupted Mazurek on "the talk show" hosted by WIW World Heavyweight Champion Kevin McAlmond and a match was booked later between the two, which Simpson won by disqualification after Mazurek interfered. Barnhart ran down to the ring and another fight between the four ensued, which ended with Mazurek holding the championship. On the May 10 episode of Raw, Rex and Glennda McAlmond scheduled a fatal four way title match at Broken Bodies.

The Tuesday after Retaliation on Rage, Jason Downing attacked Charlie Lynch. On the May 10 episode of Rage Lynch defeated Downing by disqualification when Downing's J&J Knockout Kings partner, Jacob George attacked Lynch. On the May 17 episode of Rage, a No Disqualification match between the two was scheduled for the Broken Bodies pre-show.

At Retaliation, John Borske defeated Chris LaGreca after The Authority of Wrestling attacked LaGreca when the referee wasn't looking. On the May 13 episode of ShowDown, LaGreca challenged both Borske brothers to a tag team match at the event, which they accepted. On the May 17 episode of Rage, LaGreca announced his partner for the match would be, Jesse Dern and that the match would be held inside of a Steel Asylum match
