Background
Royal Rumble will feature professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on GWF's television programs. Wrestlers portray heels or faces as they followed a series of events that build tension, and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
On the February 4, 2015 of Raw, The New Legacy (Adrian Neville and CM Punk) defeated The Shield (Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) in a non-title tag team match to earn a championship match against the Shield, it would be announced that the championship match would take place at the Chaos Theory PPV.
