Ziggler returned to GWF teaming with Jeff Hardy to defeated Rusev and Kane in a tag team match. He was than announced to be partners with Dean Ambrose in the Tag Team Championship tournament, they defeated The Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) in first round. They defeated Goldust and Snitsky in the second round to advance to the final round at the Flatline for the Tag Team Championship, in which they lost. Later that night Ziggler defeated Roman Reigns to win the GWF Hardcore Championship. It was announced that Ziggler would not only be part of the 30-Man Royal Rumble match, but also will compete in a Fatal four way match for the GWF Intercontinental Championship, also involving former Intercontinental Champion Rusev, then-GWF Intercontinental Champion Goldust and Seth Rollins, Ziggler won the Intercontinental title at the Rumble becoming a double champion, leaving the Intercontinental and Hardcore Champion. Since becoming a double champion and being left out of the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania, Ziggler has began complaining about how he is better than anyone in GWF. The GWF Board soon scheduled a match for Ziggler at WrestleMania defending both the Intercontinental and Hardcore Championship's against William Regal, he lost the titles at WrestleMania to Regal, but regained the Hardcore Championship later that night. He would soon loss the Hardcore Championship to Erick Rowan. At Annihilation, Ziggler defeated Regal to regain the Intercontinental Championship.
