At SuperBrawl XI, Kooper McAlmond defeated Tyler Mane to win the WIW World Championship, in a match that was supposed to also involve Kevin McAlmond. However Kevin McAlmond was attacked by Evolved Revolution, taking him out of the match. In the weeks proceeding, Kevin McAlmond began being targeted by management figures, Turf Finnegan and Dixie Finnegan, even sparking a more hell raising gimmick against Authority, this would make The Finnegan's attempt to put McAlmond into matches trying to take him out of the Money in the Bank ladder match. At Money in the Bank, Kevin McAlmond won the ladder match to win the world championship contract. In the weeks proceeding, Kevin and Kooper McAlmond would continue to have ocational altercations with each other with Kevin teasing cash-ins, but were constantly interrupted by Evolved Revolution. Broken Bodies, Kooper McAlmond, Kevin McAlmond, and Ali Richards successfully defended Kooper's WIW World Championship, Kevin's Money in the Bank contract, and Richard's WIW World Women's Championship against Eric Stevens, Edwin Rameriz, Jr., and Victoria Lehr in a Last Chance Six-person tag team Broken Bodies match. After the match, Kooper was attacked by Mane on order of The Finnegan's. After fending off The Finnegan's, Mane, Stevens, Rameriz and Lehr, Kevin McAlmond would successfully cash-in winning back the WIW World Championship. On the July 17 episode of Rage, The Finnegan's scheduled three triple threat matches where the winners would face Kevin McAlmond for the title. Kooper McAlmond, Tyler Mane and Eric Stevens all qualified by winning triple threat matches and the title match was made official for SummerBash.
On the July 17 episode of Rage, WIW Chairwomen Glennda McAlmond scheduled a 10-women cross-brand battle royal to determine the number one contender against Ali Richards for the World Women's Championship at SummerBash. In the end, Sarah Hicks, Beatrice LaGreca, Brenah McAlmond-Quinn, Brittany Hiatt, and Kadee Jones all eliminated each other, so Glennda made a fatal five-way match for later in the night. LaGreca and McAlmond-Quinn won by pinning Hiatt and Jones, simultaneously. Glennda then announced that LaGreca and McAlmond-Quinn both would face Richards for the title at SummerBash.
On the July 18 episode of ShowDown, after Heavyweight Women's Champion Ashley Holshue and Faith Cronin defeated The Matteson Sisters (Kaila Matteson and McKaulie Matteson) in a tag team match in which Cronin scored the pin, Holshue named Cronin the number one contender for her title at SummerBash.
