[edit] Storylines
The show will include matches resulting from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results are predetermined by WIW's writers on the Rage and ShowDown brands, while storylines are produced on WIW's weekly television shows, Wednesday Night Rage and Saturday Night ShowDown/Thursday Night ShowDown.
Amid speculation that the WIW World Championship would be defended in a 6-man Hell in a Cell match that would involved champion Kevin McAlmond and Jon Rispens under his "The Horror Fiend" gimmick at Hellbound. Rispens seemingly confirmed the rumors in a Firefly Playhouse segment on the September 4 episode of Rage. Following McAlmond's successful title defense against Mad Hanson at Clash of Champions, Rispens appeared as his sinister alternate persona The Horror Fiend and attacked McAlmond. The following Wednesday on Rage, McAlmond addressed The Horror Fiend's attack and announced that The Horror Fiend would be 1 of the 6 men that he would be defending the WIW World Championship in a Hell in a Cell match at the event. On the September 25 episode of Rage, Kooper McAlmond, Eric Stevens, Ryan Barnhart and Matt Borske qualified for the match by defeating Daniel Gonzalez, Josh Hooper, Ryan Borske, and Jason Downing, respectivly.
At Clash of Champions, the WIW World Women's Championship match between Ali Richards and Alicia Charles ended in a disqualification win for Charles, thus Richards retained as titles do not change hands via disqualification unless stipulated. The two then brawled all over the arena. The following Wednesday on Rage, Charles challenged Richards to a rematch at Hell in a Cell, and Lynch accepted as a Hell in a Cell match, it was later announced that more participates would part of the match. On the September 25 episode of Rage, Victoria Lehr and Brenah McAlmond-Quinn qualified by defeating Rachele Brooke Smith and Tessa Smith, respectivly. The final participate will be decided in a battle royal match on the October 2 episode of Rage.
