Aftershock (2016) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Incorporated Wrestling. It will take place on September 11, 2016 at the MetraPark in Billings, Montana. It will be the first event in the Aftershock chronology. It will also be the first ShowDown branded event following the second WIW brand extension in July 2016.

Aftershock will feature professional wrestling matches that involved wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that play out on WIW's primary television programs, ShowDown. Wrestlers will portray heroes or villains as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
At SummerBash, Mark Semmler defeated Kevin Hunter in the final tournament match to become the inaugural WIW Heavyweight Champion, at the same event Charlie Lynch defeated David Mahrt. On the August 26 2016 episode of ShowDown, Turf Finnegan announced that Lynch as the No.1 contender to the new WIW Heavyweight Championship. Later that evening, Hunter defeated Lynch to be added to title match making the title match a triple threat match at Aftershock.

Also at the 2016 draft, WIW Tag Team Champions The Doomsday were drafted to Rage, the titles were also renamed the WIW World Tag Team Championship, which also left ShowDown without a tag team championship. On August 26 episode of ShowDown, the WIW Heavyweight Tag Team Championship was unveiled alongside the women's championship. A tournament was then set up to crown the inaugural champions, with the final to occur at Aftershock. The quarter-finals started that night with The Larson Brothers and The American Naturals advancing with a win over Darkness Rising and The Bad Boys respectively. After losing the WIW United Nations Championship, Cam Dana confronted The Finnegan's about being part of the tag team tournament and was also granted entry into the tournament by The Finnegan's on the condition that he must find a partner.
