AJ Styles announced the debut of Fortune would be soon during the Saturday Night's Main Event. In the next few weeks, one of the superstars that was set to join Fortune Bobby Roode was let go from GWF this would leave James Storm and AJ Styles as a tag team with the name, Fortune. At Annihilation Styles and Storm took part in Triple Threat Unification match for the GWF Intercontinental Championship, GWF European Championship and GWF Hardcore Championship also involving Triple H with the winner becoming GWF Intercontinental Champion and the European and Hardcore Champion would be retired until further noticed, Styles and Storm would go on to loss the match with Triple H winning the match. On May 30, 2012 GWFWrestling.net would announced that Fortune (AJ Styles and James Storm) would receive a GWF World Tag Team Championship shot against 5-Star Soaring Eagles (Rob Van Dam and Jack Swagger). It was later announced that Storm was leaving the company.
