Annihilation (2012) is an upcoming efed professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event to be produced by GWF. It is scheduled to take place at the Pharmed Arena in Miami, Florida on May 27, 2012. It will be the first event under the Annihilation chronology. one official match have been announced for the event's card.
Background
Annihilation will feature professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing feuds, plots, and storylines which are played out on GWF's primary television programs. Wrestlers portray villains or heroes as they follow a series of events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.
The first match that was scheduled for Annihilation was the match to Unify the GWF European Championship, GWF Hardcore Championship and GWF Intercontinental Championship into one soul GWF Intercontinental Championship, May 4, 2012 on a episode of Thunder, Triple H defeated former GWF Intercontinental Champion Buff Bagwell to become the new Intercontinental Champion and to advance to the Unification match at Annihilation. May 16, 2012 on a episode of Raw, GWF European Champion AJ Styles defeated Santino Marella in a Bilingual Competition to retain the GWF European Championship and advancing to the Unification match, on the same night Jack Swagger's GWF Hardcore Championship was on the line all night calling it "24/7 for One Night Only" Through the night Kanyon won the Championship from Jack Swagger, Santino Marella pinned Kanyon to win the Hardcore Championship, Swagger pinned Marella to win the title back, At the end of the night James Storm pinned Swagger for the GWF Hardcore Championship to end the 24/7 rule, Thus making the Unification match Fortune (GWF European Champion AJ Styles and GWF Hardcore Champion James Strom) and GWF Intercontinental Champion Triple H walking into the Annihilation pay-per-view to go after the Unified Intercontinental Championship.
