Edmond Amadeus Rivit is a Freikorps officer with the rank of Major of the Freikorps Marines, Stahlhelm. He is commonly referred to by his last name. He is an NPC created by Zeth.

Personnel File
Rivit has a very… diverse personality. He likes to think himself a ladies man, but he can never really get a date. He enjoys goofing off and sleeping. Especially sleeping. Obviously, he can be rather lazy at times, but is a very dedicated and responsible soldier if the situation absolutely demands it. He is rather known as being the laziest Freikorps officer of all time, but still manages to get himself noticed by the higher-ups, especially Zeth Holt, who favors him over most other officers, though for no particular reason.
Outside of combat and command, he can be read easily by his body language. He traipses around when he needs to be somewhere, but doesn’t particularly hurry himself. He slumps in his chair when something’s troubling him, and he never, ever, volunteers for extra work.
Edmond Rivit is 180cm (~5’11”) tall. He wears the standard Freikorps Marines uniform: a blue overcoat with many pockets, a pair of black pants, and a belt holding his holster. He has very dark brown hair which he never combs (he just doesn’t see the point, he wakes up in the morning and it looks just fine sitting on his head like that), and emerald green eyes. He has a small scar on his ankle which, even though the medical resources of the Freikorps could easily get rid of, he prefers to keep. It serves to remind him that even though he may not think so sometimes, he is not immortal.
Note: For those of you familiar with Fire Emblem , think of a person halfway between Haar (Jill's commanding officer in FE9 and 10) and Sain (cavalier from from FE7).
Personal History
Edmond Rivit is Terran through and through. He was born in Capita Station, one of the largest city-stations in orbit around Terra Magna, but his family moved about the same time as he was born to just outside New York City. His parents, particularly his mother--an ambitious lawyer who worked her way from the lower dregs of soceity to a senior partner in an outstanding law firm-- set high aspirations for him in the Freikorps BattleFleet, but Rivit never fully appreciated these goals, and when he completed his schooling, reluctantly joined the Freikorps Marines instead.
The Freiheit Exercise

Rivit had a very active role in the Freiheit Exercise, being among other officers including Tabias Sung, Ithaca Dainy, and Peter Flay handpicked by Zeth Holt to participate. He was further selected to be at the head of several large ground forces, particularly of note being the 191st Heavy Armour Division. During the course of the exercise, Rivit coordinated with Zeth Holt to commandeer a mobile defense structure from the opposition.
The Stahlhelm Exercise

Rivit was once again chosen for special service in the Stahlhelm Exercise by then Field Marshal Zeth Holt. He had earlier defected along with Zeth, and served as a personal aid to the Marshal throughout the exercise. During the earlier space battles, he stayed aboard whatever ship Zeth himself commanded from, but at one point led a special group of Stahlhelm Warhawk Series 4 to combat Major-General Chaz Natlo. It is interesting to note that during the Stahlhelm Exercise, Edmond Rivit was an acting Lieutenant-Colonel, but the promotion was never confirmed or even recognized after the exercise.
