Discovered: FILLTHIS
Named After: Named after the Norse fireland

Muspelheim is aptly named the World of Fire. It is composed almost entirely of iron, and said iron is but a scant few hundred degrees from it's melting point. Very close to Yggdrasil, it will be engulfed almost immediately once the star begins its death throes.

History

None.

Meaning of the Name

Muspelheim ("Flameland"), is the realm of fire in Norse Mythology. It is home to the fire giants, and their master, Surtr. It is fire and the land to the north, Niflheim is ice. The two mixed and created water from the melting ice in the void. Sparks from Muspelheim created the planets, comets and stars. According to the Ragnarok prophecies, the Sons of Muspelheim will break the Bifrost bridge, signaling the end of times.
