Wings

Appendages, usually attached to the backs of humanoids who have them and either the backs or some equivalent to arms or arm sockets on non-humanoids with wings, that allow creatures to fly. (Well, some are too small and/or heavy to actually allow flight, but that's the purpose of wings.)

In addition it should be known that wings are really cool.

They are wonderfully difficult to cover up and that can be used as an excuse for constantly showing them off to your peers. They are also very big and difficult to control at times, making them very useful for knocking over and braking things whist still appearing innocent.

For the above reasons it should be presumed that all people with wings are both vain and destructive, and you should approach all winged people with suspicion. (Especially angels)
