Name: Rean'Tahur, the wandering Raven
Age: Countless Centuries (or so he often implies)
Gender: Male
Race: Elder Human

Appearance: The wandering Raven is a visibly old man with slightly bowed back, who leans himself onto a long, skillfully turned staff which is engraved over and over with the strangest of symbols. He wears a dark, dirty black and somewhat torn robe. The hood barely contains his long gray hair and the wild beard. A single, black eyes is gleaming with a distant fire. His other eye is covered with a black leather patch.

Personality: The first impression of infinite wisdom is quickly replaced and most people consider Rean a cranky old know it all. That doesn't mean he wouldn't be wise and smart beyond most people's comprehension. He just likes to rub it in and lacks the knack to explain things simple.
Rean had seen countless worlds and countless unimaginable horrors and secrets... and it made him a little weird it seems. And worse, he got a little problem deciding between good and evil. That is the reason why he limits himself to simply fulfill the pact and orders from those who summons him to service. (In the always popular D&D terms he would be on the Lawful Neutral side)

History: The wandering Raven. Rean is probably the only one of the drawn Hero's who has experience with traveling into alternate worlds, yes, with being summoned. He is a being between worlds, without time. Those familiar with the craft or otherwise able, can summon him if they are in need of help. And he helps almost always, especially when the integrity of the worlds is in danger.
Rean saw many worlds and many terrors and secrets, served many masters and defeated many villains. But his true origin stays in the shadows.

Abilities/Powers: The wandering Raven seems to be a Sage and Magic user, though he usually uses subtle Magic and minor manipulations to steer the flow of events into the right direction. People often underestimate his physical shape. He indeed is well capable to fight off any ordinary human foe. But he does not reach the level of true fighters when it comes to pure skill. He however is a very clever tactician and strategist and does not know any shame to used traps and ambushes to succeed. But he prefers stealth and subtlety and accordingly is his set of spells. Charms, Invisibility, phantom voices, Horrors, Illusions, Shape shifting and other tricks. The choice of Offensive spells is limited to a firebolt and rotting touch (though in itself those spells can be rather powerful).

Some Spells - All 'R' Spells are resistable, so Heroic chars and epic villains are most like unaffected.

  1. Charm R - Creates the strong impression Rean is the victim's best friend and makes it susceptible to suggestions. Nothing more, nothing less.
  2. Daze R - Dazes a Victim for a couple of moments, making him oblivious to his surrounding, except for immediate threats. The Victim does not remember anything that happened during the daze.
  3. Rotting Touch R - Rots and whithers away an object (Sword, Chair, Lock) or a limb. Requires touch and does not work on magical items.
  4. Invisibility - This is a full invisibility. It does not suppress sounds or footprints, but DOES effect dust, paint, rain which hits the invisible person. The person is invisible to his own senses, too, thus things requiring maximum hand-eye coordination (like fighting) are rather difficult.
  5. Balm - This is a first aid spell. It stops bleeding and sheds foreign objects (bullets, but not poison) from the patients body. Restores a little bit of damage.
  6. Greater Healing - Restores a lot of Damage over a time of 5 minutes. The patient must rest, else the effect is stopped. This can be used to save someone who's heart stopped, but this is incredible difficult and only works a few minutes after 'death'.
  7. Armatrutz - adds a rigid toughness to the person's skin, which does not hamper him, but protects like a chain mail, all over the body.
  8. Horror R - Induces a severe phobia withing a single victim, the subject of the fear can be chosen freely. Most often Rean chooses himself, but it could be something as simple as the color black.
  9. Firebolt - shots a firebolt from Rean's hand or Staff. It hits automatically but can be dodged or blocked (like a crossbow bolt). Rean can chose the firebolt to be 'hard' (armor piercing), 'soft' (normal) or 'bursting' (small explosion).


Equipment:
Torn Robe - The Robe is enchanted with defensive Magic. It aids in dodging attacks and stops some damage. The torn appearance can change subtly to fit into any background, aiding the Raven in blending in and moving stealthily.
Staff - It's a Mage's staff. And as such replaces the hand where ever touching is needed. The top bears a small crystal ball which indeed can serve as magical spy class. And the tip is actually a very pointy metal cap which can be used to spear people. It is enchanted to aid the users skill in blocking and parrying attacks. The staff itself is indestructible except through the most powerful of magics.
The eye-patch - The patch is a quiet ordinary accessory.
A knife - This small, sharp knife is magically bound to Rean and makes it very easy for him to manipulate it with Telekinesis or other magics. It too is indestructible. However the true power of this knife is the power to harm intangible, ghostly or demonic beings which otherwise are unhurt by ordinary weaponry.
Bag with books, herbs, blanket, food, money and anything Rean deems useful to gather.
